thewispygypsy One of my share groups played a game. We looked for the most interesting non allowed items on poshmark. We found diapers, dildos, a gas dryer, a double door fridge/freezer, souls, a vacation home and a child. No. You probably won't get in trouble or even have the item removed. But you will miss out on the share groups, being a party host, or a suggested user. So it's really your call. I feel like the support and exposure I get from other poshers is worth not posting those items, for myself.

thewispygypsy @jonelle85 I hope you don't mind. I have an awesome tip I was given that has made so much difference. If you look at the last 2 pics above. The first is a screenshot of yours. The second I ran through an app called instafit. The enhance features and color and lighting are super easy to play with and will really sharpen up your pics. If you look, you will be able to tell my older pictures that I haven't updated yet and you can tell the difference! Hope you don't take it the wrong way! You have an awesome closet. The jewelry stopped me right away😉

thewispygypsy @lilmisstazzy I wanted to give you a tip I wish I had learned when I first started. There is an app called instafit. It will resize your pictures and also allow you to fix the lighting and sharpness really easily. You can down load it on your phone free. Then take the pics from your gallery and try the enhance feature under the pencil icon. All 3 features work well and there are many more to play with. It literally took me about a minute each to edit the screen shots of your listings above! Before and after are above for you to check out💖

thewispygypsy @lilmisstazzy Actually, you can take a screen shot of the current listings and crop them in instafit as well. That is how I got your pics in the first place😉Don't remove all your listings. Just look in the upper right hand corner and hit edit. Then there is an x over all the photos except the cover shot. To change it touch the little icon on the bottom right and go to your gallery. Then choose instafit and then the edited pic you want!. Edit the pics in instafit all at once. Then it will be a breeze to change the pics in your listings!

And of course i dont mibd if my descriptions help you, you are welcome to use them and tailor to fit your needs. As for the shoe group, it isnt in my closet. morgelizabeths I have my prices on everything relatively low and I have 3 different BOGO offers going on right now and none of my stuff is selling. Most of it hasn't been worn because I got surgery and ended up losing a bunch of weight and none of it fit me anymore. But it's still not selling. I think my prices are reasonable at where they are for each item, especially with my buy one get one offers. But nobody is buying anything and I'm not sure why

thewispygypsy @morganelizabeths Hi! Nice to meet you. Im Diane. Sorry you are having trouble selling. 1 thing I noticed is you have so few followers & shares. You need exposure, more people seeing your items. I would start following people & sharing a few items from each closet. There are several ways to do this. You can go to find people & Follow the suggested users who will have lots of followers. The goal is to have them share your items to their followers. So share 4 or so of their items

thewispygypsy @morganelizabeths You can also follow new closets and share from them. People newer to Poshmark tend to buy as they are learning the Platform. You could also try targeted sharing. For example, I noticed you had Pandora items. Go to find people, by brand and chooses Pandora. These people will have Pandora items also so they probably are fans of the brand

thewispygypsy @morganelizabeths So you will want your Pandora at the top of your closet so when they come back to return shares they see your Pandora items and hopefully fall in love with something and purchase it. Parties and your feed are also good places to share from and Follow new people and get return shares and follows. Say Hi, follow and share when soneone likes and item and say thanks. Don't ask if they're interested or be pushy.

I also think the big sellers now are all boutique/retail sellers, but there is still a market for used items. sevenb1 Hi! I know I'm late to the party, lol but, can you explain to me how shipping works? I am asking because, I saw a small item, listed for $8, and so I asked the person if they could lessen the shipping (which I know sellers have the power to do) and this individual said she didn't want to go lower. I don't/didn't understand her reply, or, why she seemed upset when I asked her about it. Does the shipping fee come out of overall earnings? How does this work? Thank You!

thewispygypsy @sevenb1 Hi April. In happy to explain. The shipping cost of $6.49 is a set fee by Poshmark. It is about 75 cents less than priority shipping purchased from the post office. It is very high especially for low dollar or very lightweight items which could be shipped cheaper with a different type of shipping method. However, it is the only option Poshmark offers. Shipping is always charged to the buyer. However because it is so high many sellers offer free or reduced shipping.

thewispygypsy @sevenb1 The only way for sellers to do this is reduce the purchase price of the item to offset shipping costs. So yes & no to sellers being able to adjust shipping. We cant, but we found a way around it. Occasionally Poshmark will have reduced shipping. It normally works like this. If a seller drops the price of an item by at least 10% of the lowest historical price AND the final price is above $10, Poshmark discounts shipping.

thewispygypsy @sevenb1 The amount of discounted shipping usually depends on the amount of the item. So like everything & watch your notifications to see when sellers drop prices on these discounted days (they call it Closet Clear Out). The other problem is the fees we pay Poshmark. Poshmark takes a 20% commission or $2.95 whichever is larger. So items under $15 we pay a straight $2.95 to Poshmark. Which means all items have to be at least $3 to be able to purchase them.

thewispygypsy @sevenb1 So.....if your seller reduced the $8 item by $5 she would then make 5 cents after fees. I know in my closet I am more likely to give a larger discount on higher dollar items and bundles. MOST sellers give discounts on bundles. As a BUYER, if I want a low dollar item I will try to find something else I want from the same closet, bundle the 2 and make an offer. I hope this info will help make your buying more enjoyable. sevenb1 Ohhhh! Okay! I'm not a seller yet, so I have never really understood the shipping situation. A lot of times it just doesn't seem commensurate, (sometimes shipping is more than the item itself) like in the aforementioned case, I just thought it would have been more reasonable for shipping to be $4+ or so...I had no idea it worked the way you explained. I didn't understand why she got irritated. Thank you so much for explaining with such detail! You have been a great help! Best to you as well!

tropikel Question: Where do people get all these designer bags. For example, I see some sellers that have 9 or 10 designer (i.e., expensive) purses. Do you they have an "in" with the manufacturer or some store? Just wondering. Thanks.

Most sellers, especially wholesale buyers do not give up their sources so I have never asked anyone. And I am a jewelry girl. I own 3 designer bags i purchased used on Poshmark. They are the only ones i have ever spent the money on. Lol

thewispygypsy @dl9976 I am so sorry that happened to you. Hopefully you haven't accepted the purchase yet. If not, go to your purchases and there is an option to file a claim. Not sure if the wording but you should see it. Poshmark will hold the funds until they can review the case. And hopefully refund your money. Best of luck to you. And Please know they are FAR more reputable sellers here than the type you encountered.

thewispygypsy @katxwan Hey there. I just saw your comment. I had the same issue. I recently purchased a light kit with a green back drop and light stands with umbrella reflectors. I have started taking my pics inside by a large window with the lights and then using a background eraser app to remove the green screen and then put all my images on a uniform background.

thewispygypsy @katxwan There are white and black and all kinds of back drops you can purchase though. The kits run around $70. Or you can buy cloth and create your own backdrops. I would set up outside in a partly cloudy day or around anhour and a half after dawn and an hour and a half before sunset for the best lighting. Flourescents and incandescent bulbs tend to mess with the colors, IMO

Summer is a historically slow time on Poshmark and for internet sales in general. Some tips I have learned. Try to list something every day. Even if it is deleting and re listing an item. Share your closet at the VERY least once or twice between 6 and 11on EST. And use the closet feature to share sale signs to people who have liked items if you have a sale running. Good luck

topoftheempire Someone bought a bundle of 3 items from me, but when I went to ship I realized that I don't have one of the items. How can I resolve this and still give them the other things they ordered? Is it possible to cancel and refund just ONE item within a bundle? I know that I made a really big mistake here and I don't know what to do :(

thewispygypsy @hollister1998x I'm sorry. I wish there was a way. You will have to cancel the sale and have the buyer buy the other 2 items again. If you go to "My Sales" you can click on cancel order. First I would let the buyer know AND re list the 2 items. Since it has been so long since the aboriginal sale, they won't become available to purchase again. In sure the buyer will be understanding. Hope it all works out for you!💕
