Luxe is a rescue we adopted about 3 years ago. He is the most loving pup ever but during the past few weeks he has become depressed and unable to see things in front of him (possibly GME or brain tumor). We spent nearly $1500 this week alone. We have been from the vet to the eye doctor, to the neurologist and finally saw a homeopathic vet who is trying to treat him. Any $$ from my closet is going directly to his vet bills. Please make any offer. Thank you, π¨βπ©βπ§πΆπΆ

@steadfastanchor thank you so much Ivy!! It takes a very special loving person to get into a veterinary career!! I am now reading dr. Pitcarin's book on healing for pets and am learning a lot - have you read it by chance?

No I haven't but I just researched it and it sounds like he's practices homeopathic Veterinary Medicine. I study evidence based Veterinary Medicine.

@sk8r61284 I wish I had some extra $$ to help you out, I can relate to what you & your pup are going to, while I was buying my house my furbaby had to have emergency surgery, spent over 4k...I HIGHLH recommend looking into a card called CareCredit- it's like a credit card, but not at the same time...it has saved me A LOT of money

@strawdawg001 thanks Sara!! Care credit is exactly what we are using.... We are now going the hollistic approach so his new vet doesn't take care credit but is less expensive.... I'm so sorry to hear about your fur baby. Is he/she better now?

@sk8r61284 aww that sucks that your vet doesn't take Care Credit! π I wish I could contribute in some way! My furchild, Edith (aka Edie) made a great recovery (ACL surgery) ....I have to buy her super expensive food bc she is at risk for her other ACL rupturing...I have to still keep a good eye on the one she did have surgery on while watching how much weight she puts on the other one- still is the fastest dog on the block ;) & still paying for her surgery lol

@steadfastanchor we have to cook homemade organic food for him now though - its so expensive but he deserves it. A lot of people don't understand why we are doing what we are but he's a spirit and deserves to be treated well. - ill keep Edith in my prayers too :)

Thank you @kryssien - he's still struggling but we are trying different things here and there - vet bills just got so out of control - we now have good days and bad days πππΆ
