Louis Vuitton stitching is an easy way to tell if a bag is real. The real bag is on the right in the last pic. Stitching should be even. The same number of stitches will be found on the mirrored side. For example the leather tab that the handle attaches onto on any size monogram Speedy bag will always have 5 even stitches across each top. Each LV is hand made perfectly. No excuse for bad stitches. acquittdapparel@mariavil sorry for the delayed response. I wanted to double check mine... numbers get confused since there are so many lol. The Vs on the tabs should be 4 as shown in picture 1. The Vs for the handles should be 5 as shown in pics 2 and 4.

acquittdapparel@coreys3520 most fakes now do have date codes. You just got to look at the date code and decipher it. Usually the fakes don't make sense. Ughhhh I hate Ⓜ️Ⓜ️. It's a dangerous site. Their info has been hacked so many times.

acquittdapparel@hazel76 I have 4 guides posted so I would suggest following the tips in those. Make sure the date code marches the made in tag. Stitching is even. Glazing on edges of vanchetta isn't too red and stitching isn't too yellow. Vanchetta shouldn't be bright if it's older.

Probably will make a couple of people perhaps a little upset. being a new posher, left a couple of sellers extremely nice notes about things they could not sell and I was worried they would get caught and perhaps they didn't know it at Cetera etc. they came back at me like a mama bear with Cubs! It's a shame how little they pay attention to quality control now. It makes it so hard to tell if a bag is a low quality authentic or high quality replica. acquittdapparel@msbfitness you're wrong. LV is made in Spain France and the USA. I'm a licensed certified LV authenticator. I have been so for many years. Please go to an LV store and speak with them about the various locations their products are made. Each location it is made has a different country code for the date code in the LV which will match the LV heat stamp that says made in.

lissayI sold a LV petite bucket bag on Poshmark that I bought from a friend. I know enough to believe that it was authentic. Just to be sure I had it authenticed by Carol Diva. When it actually sold Posh returned it to me stating that they could not authenticate it. When I questioned them about it they told me that two of their "luxury experts" thought it was real and two did not. So to be cautious they cancelled the sale and returned it to me. I'm frustrated because now I'm stuck with it.

hillelizaHello, just as an FYI, I was gifted a fake bag that exhibited all the "real" signs as you have pointed them out here. Honestly, the absolute only way to know if an LV is fake is to look at the date code. That is the tried and true way.

hilleliza@lissay just chiming in. I once brought a bag in to LV for a repair and one of their staffers wouldn't process it as they thought it was fake. [Told me their hardware is laser engraved or whatever.] Well, completely upset over how it was handled, I took it to another LV in the mall that same day. It was immediately accepted. Took a month, but it was shipped, processed, repaired, etc with no concerns. What I'm trying to say is that even LV sometimes doesn't know what they're talking about.

lissay@hilleliza wow. Thanks for sharing that story. The final word I got from Posh was that the main bag may be authentic but the attached pouch was dubious. It is very obvious that bag and pouch are original to each other. Crazy!
