And so today, I walked with 2 friends on my team named Hope For Healing. I ended up meeting w/ 2 other friends and together, we walked to raise awareness and Remember, Bowed our heads in silence at the Rememberance Fence for those who have lost their lives to the pain trapped inside. I have felt this loss personally and have called 911 plenty of tines in my professional career to save lives. Today, we walked to raise awareness, funds for programs, and help, etc. Thank you for your support.

mytherapyI'm good, trying to get back into the full Posh mode but it's hard after being away for so long. I took a little step backward in my hip rehab, been doing too much this past 2 weeks. Trying to be more careful going forward, but it's hard to slow down!

ezri82Thank you for walking! I did the Out of Darkness walk in Baltimore last fall. Got PTSD from my time as a paramedic, specifically a call in which a patient shot himself in the head. Struggled with suicidal thoughts myself in the past. Now I work for a crisis line and I am about to finish my degree in professional counseling to further prevent suicide. If anyone reads this and is thinking of suicide, please reach out for help.

jillianka@ezri82 I am so sorry.. But hapoen to just see this post now. Thank you for sharing your experience. People do not fully understand PTSD or Suicidal ideation unless they have experienced it. As someone who has been affected personally and professionally, I do what I can to raise awareness. I am currently out on medical leave, but learned from a co worker that one of our cluents recently completed suicide this week. So real, and right up front and center.
