We did animal-assisted therapy and she loved it. Such a sweet, smart girl. I believe I may get another when I retire. Is Remy 6 months then, or have you just had him that long? Has he settled in?

thegirlingrey @wyndchasrborzoi he is 3 years old. I fostered him for about a week and that was it. I knew he wasn't going anywhere. :) fell in love instantly. He's such a good boy. I bit of a nervous nelly but he is getting braver all the time.

wyndchasrborzoi @thegirlingrey that's wonderful! He'll do well in such a loving home! Piper, our grey, was running loose and turned up on our friend's farm. Originally planned to take her to Greyhound rescue but, like you, after meeting her she just never made it to Rescue! 😀 We tried to find her original owners, but no response, so she's been with us now for several years. Bet you don't spoil Remy at all?!! 😉

thegirlingrey @wyndchasrborzoi I bake him cookies and I supplement his diet with fresh fruit, vegetables and grains. He is very food driven so he doesn't turn down much. The only thing I could recall him not eating was a radish LOL. As far as toys he actually prefers playing with blankets and dog beds for some reason. He's silly :D. What about yours?

wyndchasrborzoi @thegirlingrey Piper comes running at the least little rattle; she's a food hound too! There is a stuffed dog that PetSmart puts out every Christmas that Piper likes. They're very soft & she enjoys carrying them and using them as a pillow. I grew up with a Great Dane, though, that had a full-sized quilt he would wad up and carry all around the house. Interesting what they're attracted to. Your treats sound wonderful. Remy is such a cute name! How did you come up with Rembrandt?

Treatment for that would be amputate his leg from the hip down and then cemo treatments. So we have him home with us, surgery! So I have not done a lot on here. jewelryilove2 House is fine no damage or flooding, but all the golf courses are flooded. I have been ok. Did you know that we lost our Dozer to bone cancer. Found out 5/8 His 8th birthday was 5/19 and we lost him 5/28. I want another dog so bad, but then I look at his face, and I just can't, his face is so sweet. I will post more pictures of Dozer in my closet.

jewelryilove2 About 1. 5 to 2 more weeks I've had enough, except that we are staying at my son's house. And boy am I going to miss him so very much. He's my only child. He and his wife are here, and have had a wonderful time together. Anything goes with us, so we have so much fun. Take care Sue. hokulea1 @wyndchasrborzoi No, they are so rare! I saw one dancing along as he walked around a corner downtown once, and I know dog breeds very well so I recognized him as a Borzoi immediately, and spoke to the owner, who was surprised I knew his dog was a Borzoi. They are beautiful, sweet dogs. :)

hokulea1 @wyndchasrborzoi I made it a point years ago when I was younger to study and learn almost all of the dog breeds. I had a book of dogs which I loved and studied regularly in terms of breed characteristics, and amazingly I seem to remember most of them! An interest of mine. :) I especially enjoy seeing more rare dogs such as the borzoi- they are so different from many dogs in terms of personality and appearance, and really interesting, too!

wyndchasrborzoi @helpmydaughter wow, we almost could have grown up together! Lol. I had a large poster of all the breeds when i was growing up. I was pretty sure I wanted to breed and show dogs, so I had even researched kennel fencing and other things. Kind of fun looking back on it now so many years later (no, I didn’t end up doing that!) but you’re right! A lot of that passion sticks with you. ❤️
