jteach23 Great idea!! Cooper's hawk is a winery and restaurant in burr ridge. It has a mall right there as well. 20 mins from downtown Chicago. I'm pretty far from downtown Chicago. Like 40 minutes. 😔 Just a suggestion.

jewelinem @messerac @jteach23 I know that the first meet will be pretty inconvenient for some of us. However, we would like to stay in the downtown Chicago area to centralize it for everyone. I live in the western suburbs and my sister lives in the far south suburbs so we are familiar with the hike. I hope that everyone can attend but understand if you cannot. We are trying our best to make sure it's well worth it if you do decide to come😘😘

shopherposh Wow wow wow so excited!! I should definitely be able to make this!!! For all of you driving in...this winter outlook is NOT going to be like past winters...hence its been like 60 and its November...it's quite possible it could be snowing on this day Saturday dec 12th but it's honestly quite unlikely. BUT even it's bad I would encourage you to look into the metra options to see if there's a train that takes you into the city if you are not in Chicago but in the burbs. Hope that helps anyone!

paicar Wow, I thought the turnout would be stronger, especially since Chicago is so big! Wondering if the "time of year" is keeping people away, or maybe we just needed more time to advertise to get a larger group to attend. Several meet-ups were advertised for months in advance of the date. A suggestion- if you don't get the numbers you expected to attend, perhaps look at having it in the Spring. That will give us lots of time to "spread the word", get more interest and allow gals to plan ahead.

jewelinem @cfarrdezignz so I just received the contract and it looks like she is giving us a 10 room block for $139. There will be a special link to reserve your room from. It has to be booked by December 4, 2015 or they release the remaining rooms for general sale. Meaning, Anyone after that date will not receive the discount rate for the rooms. With the holiday here I probably won't get the link until Friday. I'll tag you as soon as I do😘😘😘
