@missdestiny78 honestly it all depends on body shape and build as well. Sometimes the waist number isn't enough to go by. I find the 28 comfy for me. I am a true 27 waist. My size was sold out. So I purchased 28. Still look great on. When I want a more fitted look I shut wash and dry them and that does the trick. See photos above. You can't even tell they aren't my size.
