@keekee0914 I have soooooo many VP and lady peep but I'm finally branching out--have two décolleté 554's now and my first follies should arrive this week. I reallllly love the ultra slim heel of the newer styles--they're so elegant! I think your collection has a lot to do with me moving on from the peep toe styles! Fingers crossed I can wear them though!

LOL Girl we are wayyy too much alike I have the mandarin ones in the lady peep. I have that peach toca python pixel too but I had to stretch it cause its a half size too small for me; 38.5.

I have a question. I have a pair of milady 85 louboutins that my hubby so lovingly purchased for me after hearing me say I wanted some. Problem is I had never tried a pair on before and he bought the wrong size. I have posted them on here, ebay, and every other site I can think of with no bites since Christmas. Any tips, I'm not a huge seller of things I just want to get what he paid for them or trade them for a pair that will fit. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated......

@jessicashouse I'm not a prolific seller and the chance of getting back what your paid for them is pretty slim :( I can say from my experience as a prolific buyer that the resale market is about half the retail price or less, which is why I usually buy resale. Your best bet to break even is honestly to return them for store credit and get a size that works

@tiffcake he got them when he was in new York at Barney's they were on sale and he paid cash so I wouldn't see them on the credit card account. We live in Florida and I won't be in new York any time in the near future. Barneys said they would send a new size but only with the receipt and of course u guessed it,,,, he hid that even from himself.

It depends what is staining them & whether they've been treated to block stains previously. Regular dirt CAN be cleaned from exotic skins. You use this soft brush to remove all surface dirt & gently clean the scales (not against their direction though

) & then I use special exotics conditioner to clean them. I treat all my pairs with stuff that makes it harder for stains to stick & then it's much easier to get stuff off (and keeps them from fading too!). The brush is the kind you use to clean suede.
I can make a separate listing to show you the products. If it's jeans transfer though, sometimes that can't be removed unless it's been pre-treated

Sometimes the whites can't be restored to bright white--they sometimes look yellowed after cleaning. But even then, it's not always noticeably yellowed unless it's an obvious area and the rest of the shoe is bright. Most of the whites yellow with age anyway.

Those aren't the best photos for authenticating but there's nothing that is standing out as risky about them in what I can see. I think they are daffodils which isn't a style I own. Im gonna reach out to someone that I know has daffodils! @keekee0914 can you check out the black pumps from tywil? I think they are daffodils which I don't have but I think you've sold a couple daffodils.

I have SOME bleeding on all my jaws pairs but not nearly as badly and jaws is a VERY old style unlike these (it's bc jaws was different python skins with a black patent trim sewn on--the top edge was dyed to match the trim so the contrasting Python didn't show through at the seem. It's bleeding badly on these

That funky "grain" to the leather looks sort of like sanded stingray but stingray normally appears with its naturally "mounded" surface. If you really want them then just pay a price that makes you happy regardless of their authenticity. If you only want authentic, keep looking. A great price and limited photos that aren't sufficient for authentication could be intentional

@icua410 Ok, cause yeah I just saw atleast 3 black pair and none look like that. To be honest the seller may not know they're mirror because the sole is correct. If someone strassed them u wouldnt be able to tell. Thats the thing with the mirrors; they are dead on and its always something simple or stupid thats off about them. I think they do it on purpose so they can tell the difference themselves. ijs

@icua410 @keekee0914 next time I polish with black I'll "get sloppy" and get some over the top edge and see what it looks like. That's way we will have a reference what it looks like when someone gets polish on the inside (I use tinted polishes whenever I have wear/ scratches to minimize their appearance). I try to condition all my shoes quarterly bc I live in the desert and don't want my shoes to get permanently damaged--so I'll be doing it very soon :)

@keekee0914 and @tiffcake hey ladies there's a pair of CL pigalle follies leather for sale by @bnguyen27. It says it's authentic but it has the "vero curo" heat stamp on the bottom
of where Christian Louboutin signature and size of heel is at. Now correct me if I'm wrong, CL had that stamp in the beginning of his success but as time changes he took that off. So for the shoe to have it, is it authentic?

@icua410 hey, these were produced prior to 2012 if I'm correct. I have also contacted Christian Louboutin to get their professional opinion on these and provided them with pictures of the shoes. They could not authenticate them 100% but to their knowledge they are authentic.

I just don't see that on other pigalles in that style. Plus I was just pointing out that there's a lot of scammers here and not being honest with their sells. I enjoy high end luxury items and in today's society there's so many replicas produced constantly. So when I listed my mother's shoes that were given to her by my aunt I wanted to make certain they are authentic before pricing them as I did. My aunt purchased at a well known boutique in Miami, FL.

@bnguyen27 @icua410 Hi Ladies, ok i was trying to figure out why i was tagged in bnguyen27 post, ok i see. Anyway, 1st the vero cuoio was still used until late 2008-2009. I say the dates like this because there's a fazing out process by location, and as stores will still have older merchandise as the new without the stamp comes in, etc. So theres a lot of authentic loubs with that on there, I still have quite a few.

@bnguyen27 The 2nd thing is that the Louboutin reps in the stores can not authenticate, they can only give their opinions. The website wont either but in extreme cases i know how to send them in but if they deem them non authentic they will destroy them and make the store u purchased from refund u. They won't send them back to u! So not recommended if u can't provide proof of purchase with the shoes.

@icua410 The older pairs are harder to authenticate because there's tons of variation--much more than even seen nowadays (even though all his shoes are hand-made so there's never two pairs exactly alike). I'm not a pro--I just have lots of pairs and I can provide references for particular styles. @keekee0914 has even more than me!! The best thing to do is study study study each style you're interested in and all the different textiles they're made with

Don't dwell on any one thing as proof of authenticity or counterfeit (which alllllllll of us do in the beginning when we first start to notice the differences 😉). With the counterfeit pairs there's multiple things wrong--they can be very very subtle but it's usually never just one thing.

@tiffcake I totally agree! Nowadays replicas are getting so good at it that sometimes you can not even tell the real ones from the fakes! I usually look at the bottom palm of the feet to see if it forms a shape of the shoes besides looking at the stamp and color. @keekee0914 if you want a lucifer 120, I just bought another one to improve fit. They're 37.5 but I suspect they fit an 8 (or maybe 8.5) like old pigalle sizing. I've resoled them. They didn't fit me using heel grips, insoles, and stuffing the toes (I'm US7)

Very interested. I wear 8 .. 7 1/2 is tight. I jut purchase a Jimmy Choo that is too tight. (38). Love these and want them to fit. Your thoughts??

@robingreene777 there's a pair in this skin on eBay but in bianca 37.5 (I take Bianca in 36.5 or 37 for my US7 and they're very very snug at 37 but Bianca is weird & always slips off my heels unless very tight fitting)
They want quite a bit more than my price and I personally think the open toe versions are prettier bc they have that contrasting mandarin colored platform... but figured I'd pass it along in case Bianca's are your thing and you actually didn't want the contrasting platform 😉

@keekee0914 haven't forgotten about you and lucifers. My new ones haven't been shipped yet. The seller isn't a native English speaker & she's confused by 🅿️🅿️. Her account is flagged to not release funds until the item's tracking shows delivered, but she won't ship until she receives my funds. Soooo... stuck in a loop! I'm not sure if I'm worried yet. Maybe she's new to eBay selling or maybe her account is flagged bc she has lots of disputes. I'm hoping the former not the latter!

I don't recall my first eBay sale (Follies) having a hold on funds until after shipping but I've used same eBay/🅿️🅿️ account since 2001 as a buyer so maybe I had enough history? Fingers crossed bc my 37.5's are wickedly huge & it greatly disappoints me I can't wear them. I honestly think I need 36.5 in them but I could only find 37 so maybe if she never ships them it was a good thing in the end. Still want them though!! And what would I do with TWO pairs of the same shoe, neither fitting?! SMH

@tiffcake Ok hun. Yeah eBay changed it about the time they separated from 🅿 over a yr ago. They hold sellers funds until delivered or feedback is given on new sellers and if u haven't sold anything within 12mths if you're an old seller also.

@tiffcake I probably can't wear the lucifer tho. In old pigalle i wear 38 unless they've been stretched out just that particular pair is running big for its sizing. U know how weird these shoes can be...bipolar as heck! 👠 😂

@keekee0914 they looked brand new when I got them before I added vibrams, BUT maybe you're right--maybe they were stretched but never worn. Yay!! That gives me hope they will actually fit in 37!! Except, I have old cut pigalles now in patent (I have terrible luck with patent being way too tight) in 37 and I'm wearing them with inserts... which makes me think I need 36.5 in non-patent :( wish she would just ship them for goodness sake!! I'm not waiting much longer before canceling

@tiffcake Did u send pymt directly thru 🅿? Cause if u sent thru ebay she might as well send them because she's going to have this issue with held funds no matter who she sells to. If u sent directly it sounds like her acct or something is unverified. Check her feedback.

@keekee0914 she's newer eBay seller. I paid through eBay. I'm a stickler for the rules. You have lots of experience with this and I think you are completely correct--they held it because she's new and she misunderstood them saying it wont yet release as my payment didn't clear. Unfortunately she is holding up her own payment by not shipping. 🅿️🅿️ is acting like an escrow right now and it's out of my hands. I'm learning I guess!

@tiffcake Yes exactly, because it seems she is under the assumption that u are holding the pymt from being released to her when in actuality u have nothing to do with that and she is going to go thru this with anyone until she meets the selling requirements of establishing history as a seller. Maybe u should tell her to contact 🅿 or ebay so they can explain it to her.
