Hello, my lovelies! It is time to post some guidelines on what I feel is a reasonable offer. I am grateful & appreciative for ANY interest in my closet. That being said, I do still need to make a profit, just like the rest of you :-)
I price fairly (based on value & condition) & I'm always open to negotiate. I simply ask you to respect the fact that my closet is mostly NWT, NWT RETAIL, NWOT, or in EUC.
Don't be shy ... ask me any questions on pricing, bundles, etc.
XoXo, @jooky

what do you guys think? sometimes I get offers that are unbelievably low. I don't want to be rude to people because I appreciate their interest, but I think some people think they're shopping at the dollar store when they're on posh! lol!

Love it and will be referring people to it! It will be copied. My Share group listing has been. Oh well, there is an old saying "If you want to be original, be prepared to be copied."
Jan 16Reply

jooky
@skeeterposh I hope that people will do their own & not copy. at least they could ask permission! I just felt compelled to express myself on this issue finally. It's getting a little loony, lol

@jooky Dawn I am with you! Anything lower than 20% is not polite unless we are offering a sale above that. I had a piece of jewelry 14k worth 125 selling for 60 leaving room for an offer. I ran a special 1/2 off at the time it was 35 dollars. I was offered 10$. I am sorry, but I just blocked the person. Sadly I didn't even want the person shopping my closet with those kind of offers.

@jooky Great idea and awesome job on the chart! Hopefully this will help. 💖

This is really helpful, and great job on all the work you did. I myself don't have a problem with any offer. I just think of it as a starting point in the conversation. If it's too low I just counter.
Jan 16Reply

jooky
@lifeisgood63 I know it's crazy right? lol that's a shame. I'm sure we'll have to deal with it as long as we are sellers, but that doesn't mean we have to just shut up & take it all the time. we can be proactive and try to let people know how we feel.
Jan 16Reply

jooky
@melissasam thanks! we'll see ....
Jan 16Reply

jooky
@beckey68 me too, usually, but when I have something nwt retail, listed for say $50, and someone offers $10 ... there's something not right lol

I think the chart is great and wish everyone received it as a page option when they sign up for posh with a note that says when making offers do not be offensive and use this chart. Honestly ,I do not think any kind of chart is going to be read by those who do not even consider their offers insulting they are still going to lowball. I usually when insulted will counter with my bottom dollar and if they are outrageous I leave it the same as asking price. Good reference piece.

@bluidvll Thanks for the tag. People will offer whatever they feel like offering. I've listed exactly what I think is fair in my closet. People read it, others don't. I either counter or I don't...not enough issues to get upset.
Jan 17Reply

jooky
@jeweledonyx i agree. this didn't come out of anger or upset, its just a guide, that i wanted to share with my fellow poshers. i don't go crazy over what people call "lowballers", I've always said (& posted in my meet the posher) to be grateful for interest & politely decline or counter. but should someone want to scroll thru my closet prior to buying, maybe they will see my guide & make a reasonable offer. what ever shall be, will be, i guess, lol! nice to meet you, by the way! great closet! 😄

@jooky Fantastic! 👍😊 Great job Jooky, I really do hope it works and would make lowballers be more considerate. Wish you all the best. ❤️MJ

It's wild to me sometimes I get people who sell all their clothes for $50-$200, and they come to my closet and offer me $6 for something I have listed for $15. Like... Would you accept $6 on any of your listings? No? Didn't think so.
Jan 21Reply

jooky
@babydo1l lol, I know. I just try to offer this as a guide, & hope it works. I'm always negotiable & offer discounts, but some people are all nuts & bolts! lol!
Jan 21Reply

babydo1l
@jooky noooo I totally agree. People are so ridiculous and downright disrespectful. Like I was just saying you would think people who also sell would know how it feels. This is a very good idea tho!

@jooky I hate to sound like a broken record, but this is a great idea! It's great for "both sides". I know there's been times when I wanted to make an offer, but with no guideline (except the listed price) it can be intimidating! I never want to offend anyone, so something like this helps takes some of the guess work out of it. I'm going to work on one for myself. Thanks for sharing!!💕 Melissa
Feb 08Reply

jooky
@melissa71312 thank you! believe it or not, it's worked! I mean, look, I appreciate any interest, but at the end of the day, I need to profit too. so this is just a guide for people to know where I'm coming from. thank you for your support & have fun with making yours! 💝 💖 💖 💟 💞 💘

@jooky I love this, Dawn! Just today, I had a extremely low offer. I just don't understand why some people don't know what "reasonable" means! 👍
Mar 09Reply

jooky
@lhaag721 thank you, Lynda! yeah, it can be a lil frustrating sometimes, especially when you know you price fairly and are still open to negotiating! I wouldn't expect someone to assume or just know my feelings on making offers, so I figured it was time to post this! 💖💖💖

@jooky this is so important! I had someone offer me $20 for a $55 item the other day, I was very upset. Then she declined my counter of $45 like I was unreasonable.. people act like they're doing you a favor by offering you less than adequate compensation for your goods. :/ It's uncouth.
