livianna @sglassman36 This dress is 30 inches from the top of the shoulder to the side seam and 35 inches to the lowest point in front. The bust is 16.5 inches armpit to armpit, bordering on 17 inches. It's always tough to compare sizings between manufacturers so best to go by measurements. livianna @tpurdy My personal opinion is the large looks best on an 8. My dress form is a size medium 6-8 and I will tag you in a pic of a large size on my medium "model" so you can see an example (you may prefer the tighter fit of the medium - everyone is different!). The bust is 16.5 inches armpit to armpit, bordering on 17 inches, so I would take that measurement into account as well.

livianna @vm18009 It's always tough to compare sizes between manufacturers so it's best to go by measurements. This measures 16.5-17" across the bust and 35" length (30" to the side seam). As I wrote to another posher, this Large might look best on a size 8. Let me know if you have any more questions!
