marlanapAs I recall because of the lining, they do not fit really tight around your ankles, but they are not flared either as you can see. Hope that helps. I will have to try them on again asap to give you a better answer.

marlanap@taffetadarling I was right.These do taper at the bottom, but are not tight at the ankles because of the cuffs. In short, there is a slight openness. If you wanted to alter the bottoms to fit tighter around the ankles, that alteration would be a quick fix with a needle and thread. I only do basic sewing and I know I could do it. Hope that helps you to decide.
