bsociale @ssurma92 It totally is. This is the new way for people to sell clothes cheap clothes without having the overhead of running their own website. So annoyed right now because it's really hurting my business. There's no reason that an item should have over 40 likes or 100 for that matter and not be sold.

lotzmannjm Can I just echo the ughhhhh on the retail sector?! I joined posh over 4 years ago now and then there was the overseas selling retailers that frequent ebay and such. While I do think a lot of the items are cute (and I've had success with a few) it's ENTIRELY changed the app from a personal let me sell this shirt I bought and NEVER wore, or wore once to a place for people to hold a small business...

lotzmannjm I do see a lot of personalized boutiques where folks photograph their own items and model personally, but the app is becoming FLOODED with model pictures used more than likely inappropriately...which actually in my opinon is just a way for me to reverse google image search the item to the actual retailor or alibaba seller.

bsociale @lotzmannjm Hi Julie, it's pretty annoying and alienating the folks that were the early adapters of the app. I've only been using the app for a year and I can recognize the change. For balance, they should promote closets that add new items to their closet, just like they do for new brands added to the wholesale portal.

lotzmannjm ehh I'm not sure they really care...it's kinda clear they favor the retail sellers who spend 99% of their day on the app to those normal folks with a full time job or even just trying to make posh a serious part time job! There are clear favorites in the host picks and stuff every night of the parties. They only care about their money and who is making it for them. Sometimes I'll report offline transactions NUMEROUS times and it seems nothing ever happens.

lotzmannjm You'd think they'd care, but they don't. It seems they don't take much seriously anymore. It's a dang shame. In fact I emailed them for the like 5th time to get a girls account taken down that shows literally has bare butt in her cover photo and never got a response. She was also previously selling used underwear (as in internationally not washed...PUKE). It was disgusting!! It took almost a full day to get all of her listings taken down after recruiting like 10-15 people to email.

bsociale @lotzmannjm That's crazy about the seller with the used underwear. Im not surprised because I have noticed a flurry of creepy men on here. I don't take the posh parties seriously anymore. The selections have sucked for the last few months and the hosts pick items from their own closets. It's like HELLO?! I get it though, this a business for them so they have to cater to the people making them the most money. I've just opted not to share RETAIL items.

daniqueboutique I haven't been on Posh long enough (4 months) to notice the switch from prioritizing everyday sellers to primarily promoting retail but I can definitely see it. I agree, there no reason an item should have dozens of likes and not be sold! And I miss the $1.99 shipping discount. Now $4.99 is supposed to be a discount?! Pleeazee. 😩shipping fees are making it harder to sell at a price that's fair for the buyer AND the seller.

shoppingbug18 TOTALLY! I never understand why some people like several items and never ask questions or inquire. I only like an item when I'm actually interested and want to flag it. Plus I hate the shipping fees, they use to run the 1.99 and even the 99 shipping special before. Boohoo on all these changes!

That was the point of this app right? I was shocked to see professional stores! c3childs I really don't like the wholesale thing. Posh is for selling clothes from your closet, like nice high end gently worn. Resale. Possibly get a good deal on something name brand. What is this $50 wholesale nonsense? Half the point to me is getting a good deal on brands I know are quality. And then with the portal everyone has the same thing.

fccandles @bsociale so I’ve been on posh since basically day 1. I’ve seen it ALLand things have gotten ridiculous. Now people like an item in the hopes that you will reduce the price. All of these new features don’t generate sales... they make life frustrating for the seller. Posh doesn’t care. It’s all about the retailer. I keep my account because I DO make sales but only because I have a lot of followers..

bsociale @fccandles I have had to take several breaks since creating this post. It’s so easy to get burned out from receiving $10 offers for an item that you’ve priced at $100. The new “offer” feature doesn’t help me. They need to do something to encourage people to buy. I did clear out everyone that I was following the other week, in an effort to just start over. I’m relieved lol.

These pieces can also be found locally, on fashion nova and other Instagram boutiques too. I loved the simplicity of selling from my closet.
