psycowissa If I sent you pictures of a wedding gown, could you you match the color from the picture? I need a head piece for my best friend and we are running out of time and money. thefjordsandi I love this, how did you learn to do stuff like this? I love art of all kinds, I'd really like to learn how to sew and crochet! I have a ton of beautiful silk, hand died, thin yarns/embroidery threads and beads... Unfortunately I'm mostly a hands on type learner, I've tried using books a couple times...no Bueno, well at any rate, ur very talented! It might be a lil while but I'd love to buy something in the future!!!

coleyroleypoley @thefjordsandi Thank you so much for the compliment ♥ I started crocheting about 10 years ago. Had a phone job, and a girl there crocheted while she worked. I bought one of those kiddie kits, and just followed the book. Of course, I had lots of help learning. There were several women at my job who helped me with technique along the way, and more recently youtube has been a great help. There's always something new to learn!

coleyroleypoley @thefjordsandi I would encourage you to start with youtube. Like anything, the more experience you have, the better you'll crochet. (you should see my first few projects, and my poor little boys were the victims who had to wear them. lol) So practice, practice, practice, and play with the yarn...sometimes mistakes turn out to be gems. You could also look for a local yarn shop. Most of them have sessions where knitters/crocheters just get together...a world of experience there.

thefjordsandi Thank you for all the ideas! Actually wrote that before I continued to see the rest of ur amazing beautiful functional works of wearable art! It's refreshing to and inspiring to view all ur many creations. And you have items that stores like free people and anthropology would charge 3x as much for! Not to mention the value of them being "one of a kind" handmade and u even customize! I will try to pick something in July when I have $....meantime I wish u much success! 😊

coleyroleypoley All my crocheted items are handcrafted. This headband takes about 2 hours, using fine lace thread and a tiny steel needle. Prices on my handmade items are firm.
