Are you on Instagram? If so look me up heart_on_a_hotwire. I'm always looking for a travel mate when my husband or sister can't go. Seems I have more time on my hands than they do 😂😂😂

That's amazing that you were able to live there for 2 yrs. How did you like? @wanderlusthrift We have to keep in touch! We decided instead of going to Palenque, we're going to take more parents in a cruise. I'm not a fan of cruises, but they're in their 70s and they will love it. We're going to Belize, Cancun, & Mahogany Bay, Honduras. Going out Port Canaveral, near you. I'm from St. Augustine but been living in GA for 4 years.

And the UAE is really really amazing. I lived in Al Ain, which is smaller and not touristy, so I loved it. Only a little over an hour from Abu Dhabi or Dubai, so best of both worlds. Small town, local living with all the glam close by. Most of my friends that I meet there are teachers. Huge step up in pay..they make close to 200K over there. If you get a chance to visit, I highly suggest it! Wished I was an educator by trade, I'd be living there again!!!!!!

@so_cheap Yes, we definitely have to stay in touch. That’s hilarious that you don’t fancy cruises because I don’t either. Never been on one and don’t have a desire at this time. I do think they will definitely love the cruise though especially because they are at an age where they are going to take it easy on vacation. Port Canaveral is defiantly one of the more popular ports for carnival. Wow, St. Augustine is not that far from me. How did you like GA? I hear many people love living there.

I hear amazing thing about the social like in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. I think in the next year and a half, I am definitely putting Korea and the UAE on my to see list.

@wanderlusthrift I actually hate GA, but I was living in the UAE when my husband and I split. Because I had been living abroad for so long, I had no job history to come back and buy a home and had just dinged new lease for tenants to rent my home in Florida. I visited a friend here when I got back and found I could afford to buy a home in the foreclosures straight out. So, I decided to invest savings into purchasing and remodeling a home here.

Figured, I'd be here a year, maybe two, then move back to my home in FL and use this one as rental property and income. Then I met someone and we got married 2 years ago August and now I'm stuck here until he retires, which is in 3 1/2 years. 👍🏼 Then we'll rent these two homes and be back in St. Augustine. So excited about that!
