Please watch out! You may have or may be purchasing a fake vs item. Totes, blankets and even towels are being faked. The only way to tell if it's real (from what I learned) is for the packaging to have a barcode label on the plastic bag OR have a Victoria's Secret tag on it. If it doesn't have either.. fakepolice @misslittleme yes. People are buying them fake and selling them on here for the same price as the real ones are going for. This includes towels, Sherpa blankets, plush blankets and even socks

It's just a warning incase you buy one in the future. People are being fooled and charged for fakes what they could pay for the real thing. 😭

sellminator @fakepolice I already accepted my items, including a blanket & a bag. I thought the blanket's trim was rather scratchy, but decided not to complain, as it was not the seller's fault. They were only selling 1 of each item that I bought, & were a new seller, so I didn't realize they were Poshing FAKES! 😬 Can I report this/get a refund etc, & how do I prove they're fake? What do I look for? These are for Christmas gifts, so certainly need them to be nice! Thanks so much!!! 💕

fakepolice @cute_n_fiesty the bag you commented on is fake. The girl Emma closet sells fake items, and posted on another fake selling sellers listing saying their items were from Ali express aka fake website

fakepolice @sellminator I don't think you can do anything after accepting the item, I'd suggest contacting poshmark to double check. A lot of fake sellers sell a bunch of other cheap junk, such as fake PINK lanyards and phone cases that weren't launched by vs, fake Raybans and fake coach items

sellminator @fakepolice What kind of zipper pull (I'd kinda expected it to be heavier/more ornate), sewn-in labels, price tags etc should be on the bag/blanket? The blanket did have the "correct" pink ribbon (or it looked like it) with "Victoria Secret" on it. I hardly buy the VS stuff myself, & had no idea there were fakes, since it's not a really expensive brand. Any info about what I can look for on the items would be awesome, so I can make my case to PM. Thanks!

fakepolice @sellminator a girl on here bought a bag from a fake seller I tagged in the bottom of my fake blanket listing. She showed the difference between the real and the fake. The fakes look almost like the real thing. I'll find it and post on a new listing. I believe it's the same bag too

fakepolice @sellminator if the item was purchased from vs online, it should be in a plastic packaging with the barcode/item identification on the packaging, if it's from the store it should have a tag on it. If it doesn't have either.. You might end up with a fake. People are buying these unknowingly and then reselling to other unknowing buyers!! I seen it happen with a fake Sherpa blanket.. Sold for $70 to a buyer, then the buyer resold it because it had a stain on it for $70 to someone else

sellminator @fakepolice I sent pics and detailed description of the situation/issues, & they are handling up on it! I'm so glad they are doing so! I also changed my feedback rating to reflect this deceitful transaction. Can I post a warning against the seller in my closet to be shared, or does that violate any PM rules? Thanks so much again! 😊 Without your help, it would have slipped by me!

It's also nice that sellers can't delete comments after they've been made! Its hard to warn anyone on Mer b/c people just delete comments and block you ! >:(

sellminator @fakepolice They determined them to be fakes. The account was still able to be searched, but wasn't active, but now all traces of the sold items & seller are gone here on PM. I can only see it under my "Purchased Items". I'm actually taking a break from Posh until next year. Thanks for checking back. 😊
