restlessangel@tucute1958 , I took it out & measured for you. On the internet, it's always Better to say, "Approx" because some do pull or tug when they measure. I do not do that. It gives others the "room" to make it 18" or to do a sloppy "15 or16". Haha. :-) Would you like a picture of the tape? If so I can provide for you. : I do have it our. it is honestly Never a problem as I have my office in a Home warehouse area.

restlessangel@tucute1958 awe what a bummer! Well I’m right at 17 inches on the base. Now I did go ahead and put it in pictures anyways I just took it out of my bin , so the pictures are not styled. I have it double bagged in retail. The base has a bit of arise as you will see and if put a little on the slant, it would be ok, as you can see from pics but may be pushing it a bit.
