Ever see the white powdery film that forms on your Hunter boots after you've had them for a while? It's natural and called "blooming". All natural rubber does this. Instead of purchasing that expensive Hunter Boot cleaner you can clean them with a microfiber cloth and a little bit of olive oil. Not too much...or they will be oily. They will look like new again :) Remember you may have to do this again months down the line because blooming returns.

mylilcloset @tina66102002 really? It doesn't effect color? I think the gloss could get effected. Maybe on matte. Thanks for the tip!

tina66102002 It really works, it keeps it glossy and it doesn't take any color off. I will try the olive oil someday I heard it works well. It's good that you put this information out it might help with other sale😃

jenylynn I have a pair of matte black they bloomed as soon as I took them out of the box. I purchased the hunter lotion for the blooming and now my boots look like they are faded in areas almost distressed. I contacted Hunter with pictures and they told me that I was one of the lucky ones I had received a pair of boots with good rubber. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, any tips to get mine back to looking normal. Would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

supasoda90 @jenylynn I haven't heard that before. But have you tried just the boot shine sponge made by Hunter? I wonder if that would assist with your issue. I know it's been a few mos since your comment. However; it's about that time to pull them out & wear! 😊🌧☔

jillc420 @mylilcloset Hi Candy!! Can baby gel or oil be used to clean hunter boots or all rubber boots for that matter or is there something in olive oil that works better? Thank you for the tip!!
