Hi guys I just wanted to let you guys in on a something that happened to me recently. I had an item on here for sale and a woman offered me a fair price. she asked to send a cashier's check. I got the check and instantly knew it was fraud... I got legal advice and she is being investigated. her goal was to get me to fall for stealing $1000, but she would end up with the money and my item!i just wanted to post this so you guys are aware, stay safe my fellow bees!π(DO NOT DEPOSIT DO NOT DO NOT)

If I would have deposited that's when I would have gotten in trouble! Thank goodness I am smarter to see that her check and her shipping address were different. she actually ended up "accidentally" sending me too much money to wire back to her. that info was different than the shipping address, and the check as well. how stupid does she think i am!

Cashier's check? On here, for payment? Lol. When she offered the cashier's check, that would have been the first sign that something smelt fishy. That's good that you caught that, though! To be honest, I find that to be sad. I pity her. The desperateness of some people that end up doing this sh.it to other people who need the money. God, that irks me.

@cyanidepuppet I know my mom instantly smelled fraud when she said check. but i was so happy because i really wanted to upgrade my tortoise's tank size but my dad is giving me a researching job in payment for one
