Extra heavy class load as she starts her elem Ed teaching classes! When you purchase from us, you're helping to send my daughter to college in California. For a decade, I was a single mom raising my kids without child support & had nothing extra to save for college. I remarried & started this project of selling clothing. It gives us a way to work to get those savings funded and my daughters dream accomplished. Thank you for purchasing from us & helping us achieve this blessing! 💕 K & K

Jan 02Reply

shopherposhI love this! You deserve mother of the century award ;-) My dad passed away from cancer when I was 10. My mom worked two jobs and as a teacher to support my brother and I and yo support me playing in my golf tournament nationwide. I was given a full ride scholarship to Vanderbilt because of my mom's belief in me & her support! Moms are amazing ;-)

Jan 03Reply

shopherposhI considered becoming a teacher & my boyfriend is an amazing teacher here in Massachusetts. I actually now Posh fulltime for a similar income because my passion is more in fashion but im going to be going down the path of utilizing my golf skills again & becoming a teaching professional at a club while also balancing my poshmark business this spring. Moms are the best since they encourage us to live out our passions & reach our dreams! Congrats to your daughter I know she'll be very successful!

Jan 03Reply

shopherposh@double_k i used to live in Chicago too! I was in grad school at UIC, then Northwestern lived in Lakeview :-) Met my bf there who taught in Deerfield. Loved Chicago ;-)

Jan 03Reply

citytoseasideCONGRATULATIONS!!!! My daughter also wants to be a teacher. So far, she's been accepted to one school and is waiting to hear back from a few more before she decides. It's so inspiring to hear that Poshmark is helping fund her dream. :)

Jan 05Reply

double_k@shopherposh thx for your sweet words! This really has been a great outlet to buy the fashions we love on our budget and to provide the funding to get her to her goals. I lived in Lakeview for years - back when Century Mall was the place to shop and hang out. I managed a small clothing store there. We live in the western burbs now :)

Jan 05Reply

Apr 13Reply

shopahola@double_k, That is a beautiful reason. My daughter is in her 1st year of state college. It's not too bad cost wise, but it all adds up. What does your daughter want to do? Best of luck to you.

Apr 20Reply

lovelylexii46Hey girl nice to meet you! I have a quick question for you! So my business has taken off REALLY fast and I've only been in the company for ONE month! I need some more people to help out with advertisement! ALL you do is advertise on social media about one hour a day! With an opportunity to get a $10,000 bonus in just 3 months!! Would you possibly be interested in joining my team? Or know of someone who possibly would? 😊 No experience needed! Please let me know if you'd like more information!

May 11Reply

cricketinnashI was a single (& super broke!) mom when I was in college. She was three months old when I went back. Now, my daughter is entering her Senior year at the same school :) Best of luck to you!!

Jun 01Reply

thknbosslykI feel your struggle. My daughter's going into High School this year & my ex just started paying child support. So I've got 4 years to come up with some kind of fund. Lol The life of a mom! Good Luck! I'll keep an eye on your closet.

Jul 03Reply

Jul 10Reply

kenziesykesThis is so awesome!! So cool that you two could team up together and do this! Will be sharing your closet! I started using Posh a few months ago to help pay for my college tuition and it sure has helped! I currently don't qualify for grants and I'm trying to avoid going into debt for community college, Posh is an amazing way to get some help! Good luck to you both 💕💕💕

Jul 12Reply

neelugBest of luck! 🎉🎉🎉

Jul 12Reply

double_k@kenziesykes Thanks so much - we totally understand about the not qualifying for grants! My hope is that we can afford to send her without (hardly) any student loans so that when she graduates, she can accept a position where she is needed and will be happiest contributing to her profession - not the place that offers her the fastest way out of student loan debt. Best of luck to you and we will share for you as well!!!

Jul 12Reply

double_k@reneepass37321 Thanks so much! We are very excited that between her academic scholarship and Posh, we should have minimal student loan debt issues. So very thankful to our awesome customers for that help! Best of luck to you as well - let us know if you are going to Poshfest - we are looking forward to meeting as many of our Posh friends as possible!

Jul 12Reply

double_k@thknbosslyk Congrats on getting some support - I know that struggle so well - my ex owes me close to $100k :/ Look up "College Savvy Coach" on facebook & follow her - she gave us a ton of great advice on helping my daughter get into her top college & qualify for scholarships. Sia is a great resource for moms like us! Best of luck to you and your daughter!!!

Jul 12Reply

double_k@cricketinnash Awesome inspiring story! Best of luck to your daughter in her senior year and congrats to you on reaching for your dreams and jumping over the barriers in your way!!!

Jul 12Reply

reneepass37321@double_k oh that's just awesome. Student loan debt can be a huge burden on a new graduate. I thankfully had the GI Bill from my service in the USAF and have low loan debt. But I think it's great we as mothers/fathers, etc. can provide a little extra income in this way! It's genious! I truely wish her all the best. I probably won't be at the festival, but would love to! Enjoy and good luck. 🍀🍀

Jul 12Reply

tivnefashion@double_k CONGRATULATIONS on your acceptance!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I too was a single mother of two struggling with the same issues. I know how hard it is mom, so kudos to you as well!! My daughter just graduated with her masters and is at work doing research on Dementia and Lewis Body and my son is a college sophomore. Both with full ride scholarships so that helped tremendously!! Once again, CONGRATULATIONS ! May you have a wonderful journey in this new chapter of life!! #womenrock

cali816Thank you!! ❤

Oct 30Reply

artsie_1I can relate. My ex-husband walked out on me when I was 4mo pregnant (on Christmas night). He paid child support, but only because he was a cop. I quit college shortly after we married. I have remarried & had 2 more daughters. I pushed them like a crazy person to finish college. I never wanted them to be dependent on ANYONE for their livelihood! I told all 3 that they could choose to never work a day in their lives, but finishing college would give them options.

Nov 09Reply

artsie_1My oldest just had our first grand. She used my husband's (our) last name for the baby's middle name. That honored the man that had always and forever been her dad!

Nov 09Reply

Dec 18Reply

deblove1Hi, I really want the Dr. Who skirt for my daughter, for her birthday in late January. I wanted to bundle to save but she wear a regular 1X top. I am not sure of the difference in the junior sizes. Does the Beatles shirt curve in at the waist? We need a straight shirt. I know you posted that you add things daily, would you have any more plus items? Let me know. Oh and in the next couple of days, I will be listing spring things, you might be interested. All sizes going up.

Dec 30Reply

deblove1@thknbosslyk check your library for books about scholarships. Start applying now. ( I just retired as a 20 year Library Asst.) Many Of our patrons got scholarships and grants. It take some work, but leave no stone unturned. Good luck. ( sorry to butt into conversation but thought I might be able to help) Deb

becky1004❤️Hope the school year goes well! I remember when we had three in College! One of our daughters went to grad school. Luckily for us she finished a two year program in a year and by taking classes two summer semesters! Hopefully you will not have too many years left of paying for college!🌺

wellredarmoireIt’s amazing what us moms can do, and what lessons the kids take from our hussle. Obviously your daughter is picking up your work ethic with that strong gpa!
