mercymie @lesp460 They are both so similar! But Dune does have a very slight pink to it while Golden has a tinge more red. I actually had to turn on a bright light and look at the color swatches on the back of each bottle, just to give you this answer, thats how close i feel they are! So if I had to choose, I'd say Golden is the one with "warmer" tone. Hope that helps!

mercymie @emarina To me, golden is a slightly warmer Dune. So Dune could also work for you, but only if you have pink undertones. If you do, after Dunr oxidizes on your skin, it might blend well with Golden. Please note though that I am not a licensed MUA!

mercymie @logansa If your skin tone is within the light skinned-very fair spectrum & has neutral-warm undertones, real sand and ivory should be fine. If you're more fair skinned, applying real sand on top of ivory will give you the illusion of a very slight tan after oxidation. Please note that i am not a licensed MUA, i just know how to play with makeup and color. logansa @mercymie I am fair but have more yellow undertones slight pink. Sephora always says more yellow but it ends up looking too yellow sometimes. So I guess more neutral would work. I am 40 and am struggling w/makeup as my skin ages. Real sand mineral is my stand by. Thanks for the tips.

mercymie @logansa Ivory should work for the yellow undertone then. And if it's too yellow, then the real sand will hopefully balance it out. And as for the issues you're currently having wirh your skin, do a clay mask treatment 2-3X/week. You only need 2-3 products and they're all super cheap: Indian red (calcium benzonite) clay, apple cider vinegar, and charcoal (optional, but great forcorrecting discolorations).

mercymie @logansa Forgot to add that following the clay mask, you should overmoisturize the skin as the clay will literally "pull" at your pores, taking out dead skin, impurities, and oils. mercymie @emarina Unfortunately, all the light/lighter shades are gone. If it's a matter of correcting the peachy-ness, to make it less so, might i suggest that you ask your local Sephora for samples of lighter shades, and mix them with your golden until you get the best balance.

mercymie @ckirschenbaum1 Ooh, I wouldn't feel comfortable giving you a potential alternate foundation that's similar to ecru. There's a YouTube makeup guru that does Foundation comparisons. Jackie Aina. She did comparisons for "espresso" and "chestnut" foundations. And she mentions other makeup artists that do other shades. I can't think of them off the top of my head. But I'm certain you'll it on YouTube.

mercymie @jbritthb Hi. 2N and 2N indicates the foundations are in the same skin "coloring". The second numbers in the foundation name (2N1, 2N2) indicates the shade variation within the family, with 2N2 being darker than 2N1. The higher the second number is, the darker the shade is within that color range.

mercymie @jbritthb This new line doesn't work for me either. I LOVED the discontinued line. The new equivalent shade for skin tone is no longer it. I'm now back to mixing MAC and other foundations just to get to the shade that I got with my LM.
