katesaintclaire @kaleyheider Awww!!!! I'm so happy you're getting another puppy. Just remember that a new dog isn't a replacement, it just means your heart is big enough to love another dog. Lindsy will live on through the new puppy and in everyday life in general. I seriously dread the day I have to say goodbye to a pet. 😥

kaleyheider @katesaintclaire oh gosh I appreciate your kind words about her, I do struggle with not wanting to feel like I'm ever replacing her but we are such dog people the house is unbelievably empty w/o one. & I understand that feeling of dreading "the day." I think I cried every birthday of hers for the past 5 years. And quite a bit over the past year knowing it was nearing.

kaleyheider @katesaintclaire & I understand that too. I started retail selling the past year. I've learned a lot though, and part of that learning has been losing some money on items here & there. It's not easy at all. I have to do a mix & do non retail cute finds because that's what I enjoy doing the most.

katesaintclaire @kaleyheider when you say "cute finds" that are non-retail, do you mean like thrift store items or deeply discounted stuff (like Nordstrom Rack, Saks Off 5th, etc.). I only ask because I thought about that as an option. Retail is just too much money upfront for very little return (in my case).

kaleyheider @katesaintclaire I've been on Poshmark for 3.5 years and the first 2.5 I didn't have a wholesale license. I'd find things at thrift stores, off eBay, consignment stores in my area, etc & I still like to do that but the second hand stores around me aren't super impressive :/ but once in a while I do okay with it. the benefit to that is you only have one of an item & don't have to stress about selling all 6.

katesaintclaire @kaleyheider my oldest Pom, Mac, is 9 and I cried on his birthday last June. He will be 10 this year 😭!!! I guess we just need to cherish every moment we have with our furry children. Regardless of their age. 🐶

kaleyheider @katesaintclaire it can be time consuming to go through thrift stores if you don't have amazing ones but I always do good at consignment stores because you'll find more designer finds & I watch for discount days, that sort of thing.

katesaintclaire @kaleyheider that's a really good point!!!! And it wouldn't take up so much dang room lol! I'm going to try that route before I totally give up, because I truly do love selling on here as a part-time thing. I just got wayyy too caught up in retail and my main business (& source of income!) suffered as a result. The "profits" we're not worth it. I still might sell a lil wholesale here n there if I'm confident something will sell.

kaleyheider @katesaintclaire oh totally & yes for retail I'm WAY more selective than I was when I first started. I'd see a free shipping promo and select a ton of items. 🙈🙈 another thing is to watch for sale times like Cyber Monday & most websites have crazy deals & I stock up then. Way less pressure that way.
