Fabric Content Tells A lot but is Not Everything! I zip a lot of zippers and pull on a lot of jeans (across the hips). I give the denim a little description (as pictured above). If I don't I get a lot of questions about Stretch. LOL! Most jeans these days have at least good Stretch if not way more. Back in the day most all jeans had zero stretch. Yes, some brands 2% elastane is fine some are not. 2 % spandex I think stretch a little more. Lol

@lizzydavis123 Completely Agree. Sometimes older Denim is stiff. And sometimes 100% Cotton is stretchy. π€ I think it must just be the knit or how the denim fabric is woven together too. 7FAM is almost all 98% Cotton and 2% Spandex (sometimes elastane). The Stretch varies wildly. It's so weird. So I just pull on every pair. πππ

Even with all the measurements Iβm still hesitant to buy jeans on PM. Waist measurement would depend on where it hits on my hips or waist. (I prefer low rise.) Most jeans are too big in the waist if they fit me in the hips. No one seems to measure across the hips though. Maybe I need to buy βcurvyβ even though I am small. I plan on going to the retail stores to try in these popular brands.

@kellyandlarry I would measure ALL your favorite fitting jeans!!! And write it all down. You can always reposh! I buy jeans for myself all the time and only wear them a few times because I know I can always sell them on posh! And you can always ask for extra measurements from me!!! Most people donβt ask for Across the Hips. Curvy girls do though! They will also ask for the Back Rise. ; )

@kellyandlarry Some ladies just have a tiny waist! Lucky you!!! Some curvy ladies get their jeans altered/taken in (a dart added at Back waistband). Try JOEβS (especially honey fit or curvy boot) or TRUE RELIGIONS. Stretch jeans can be great too. Skinnies always have the best stretch. AG PAIGE J BRAND AND MISS ME all make jeans that just may fit you well. The Buckle & Anthropologie sell all my favorites. My closet is full of all the best denim at a fraction of retail.

@theposhmrsk lol. I had maternity DL and they barely stretched at all and they ran quite small. Damn Cute though. π€£ Denim definitely varies a ton, even from the same manufacturer. Paige almost always have gobs of Stretch. And then every once in a great while I will find a pair thick & stiff like an old pair of wranglers. π
