Water exposure should be limited. Excessive water exposure will cause the layer of 14k gold to fade and deteriorate.

toppointbling @ricf13 they will not last forever like a solid 14k gold chain but here are my tips for it lasting a while. Avoid water/ excessive sweat Wear outside of shirt Use Simple Shine cleaning cloth to clean/keep its shine. Simple Shine is the name of the cloth. It works great.
