@lvelega All black gold is plated. This being said...all plated materials will eventually wear down, just depends on various factors such as how much item is worn, how it is taken care of, if it is exposed to multiple solvents, and even the chemical makeup of the wearer. So the short answer is yes. The long answer is that depends on the owner WHEN the metal oxidizes and wears down. Thanks for asking.
