emrlane What would Carolina do: 1) Reach out to the posher and try to reach an understanding 2) Go ahead and initiate an inquiry and select "item not as described" 3) Accept the order, re-posh, and eat the cost knowing I won't get the same amount for the item as I paid bc they aren't truly like new.

If you got an amazing deal and paid for what you got, keep it, but do reach out and say to the seller- heads up this wasn’t what I expected. If the item truly isn’t worth it and you feel it was wrongly described, do open a case.

datpiff99 @emilychiasson interestingly enough a buyer opened a case on me today. I didn’t notice a missing button. I’m glad they opened a case and won. As I seller, I made a mistake. I believe the buyer should get what they expect and have the right to a refund. I think in your case you set your expectations to “like new” and received less than that!

datpiff99 @emilychiasson once a case is resolved by Poshmark, the buyer looses the opportunity to give feedback. Which as a seller I prefer. I had a buyer last week leave me a one star review because she couldn’t fit into the top smh... I would accept a return any day over a bad review. Unfortunately there is not way to resolve an issue without posh (no partial refunds from seller to buyer etc.). All returns/ refunds are administered through posh’s bank.

datpiff99 @emilychiasson the buyer receives a shipping label the same way the seller had. They are to promptly return the item they just bought. Once the seller receives the returned item, she now accepts / deny the item. For protection, I recommend video recording this process, no matter which role you play. I have only been in this situation once and it went smoothly.
