Poshers, please be very careful when buying highend brands I have seen hundreds of products, that aren't real on posh. Eyeshadow pallets, in particular, and popular brands like: ABH, Too Faced, UD, Tarte, BB, Tf, Natasha Denona and many more. Hi I have a quick question...if someone doesn't disclose a pallet isn't authentic and sold it (to me who thought it was real 😡 ) would posh still honor that? I asked but they didn't respond and I purchased it on good faith.

@sthibeault1 They absolutely will. I always recommend reaching out to the seller first, so good job! Now you need to open a case with posh as the reason being that it's not authentic. (If you are sure, of course.) I also recommend taking it to a retailer and comparing it to the authentic. Please note that manufacturers change the packaging frequently so don't go by that alone. Compare shades and swatch the authentic as well. (They always have samples on the floor.) Good luck!

@adriannabg thank you for advising and yes I brought it to ulta and they confirmed it wasn't the two faced peach palette and I did contact the seller only for her to tell me she told me it she was unsure of authenticity cuz she received as "gift " well I screen shot our conversation that stated "yes it's authentic I scanned it" so I took her word

But here's the problem since I never filed a complaint I hit accept but wrote fake item reporting to posh I'm not sure I should have done that cuz I think that releases the funds right? I immediately then went Thur the process of opening up a claim do you think that's ok?

@sthibeault1 You will be fine then. Posh will require photos to substantiate your claim and give the seller a few days to replay. Posh will investigate and make a determination. If they vote in your favor you will be asked to mail it back and when she receives it they will refund you.

@sthibeault1 One more piece of information for you. Take photos at the post office before the box is taped because if she claims she received something different you will find yourself in a pickle. (I know because it happened to me!)😢

@adriannabg oh that sucks! Will do fortunately my husband works at the post office lol but I will take pics thank you! And yes I included pics and screen shot of her stating "yes it's authentic" it's too bad people lie about this stuff which can cause real damage (I'm a nurse I've seen it) awful! Thank you for your help it's good to know there ARE some honest people out there ! And from now on I'm being a little more careful. Honestly it's not about the money it's the principle!!!

@sthibeault1 Posh is great and I'm sure they will work with you. Fake makeup can definitely create serious problems. In the future don't accept just let the seller know and open a claim. I'm sorry this happened!😞 However, there are wonderful sellers on posh.

@sthibeault1 Read their reviews, be careful with new sellers. Check the about section and check when they joined. It's hard work to build a great closet and even harder to have lots of sales and a seller will think twice before risking it over 1 sale. My rule is: I don't buy from any closet that is less than a year old. Every problem I have had, has been with new accounts. Therfore, I just won't do it.

@joyce1960 Yes but they are duplicating them. If you are really concerned take it to a retailer that sells it and do a side by side.

Thanks for posting this 😙! I really wish posh would dedicate a page to posts like these for inexperienced users or just as general info and I wish Merc would allow posts like these, the fact that they don't speaks volumes impo! 😊

@adriannabg Another great tip for people who are concerned the item they may purchasing is fake is to check out DH Gate & Ali Express 99% of the time this is where the bad seller's are getting these products from & chances are if you can find it on either of those sites/apps someone is selling the fake version & (1/2)

(2/2)..it's always the seller who's selling it for ridiculously low prices anything lower than 25% to 30% off retail is typically a big red flag & if they can't show proof of purchase don't buy! Also remember don't accept/rate your purchase if you think it's not authentic, with some apps (Merc) you won't be able to get your money back if you do before contacting customer service. 😊
