When I started on Poshmark I was not aware of how things worked.Here are some tips. 1. I have noticed quite often new poshers are not sharing others listings.This is probably the most important part of Poshmark.When sharing others listings they usually return the favor which can result in a sale.This also pushes your listing to the top so if someone is searching for a particular item your listing will show up 1st. 2. Offer Bundle Discounts.3. Attend parties.See below in comments for further tips

tracy390 4. Make sure your cover photo is in the best lighting possible to show true colors. Describe item accurately. Make sure to list any imperfections or flaws. Remember your cover photo is your 1st impression. 5. Participate in the "follow games". It works & will increase your followers. tracy390 Also it helps to explain to buyers how much you actually receive from a sale after Poshmark gets their amount. It helps the buyers understand how you've priced your items. I've included a chart in the last photo. Feel free to screenshot any of my images & use them on your site. To other poshers if I'm incorrect about any of my tips please let me know. tracy390 Terms to become familiar with: 1. NWT & NWOT (new with/without tags) - these are items purchased from other retailers & have never been worn. 2. Boutique items (these are items purchased from a wholesaler & being offered new to the public for the first time). Also when an item is reduced by 10% from the original asking price (must be over $10 I believe) it usually triggers a reduced shipping rate to the buyer ($4.95) for 1 hour. Follow up with questions as soon as possible.

tracy390 Another tip is make certain you use the proper boxes. You can go to usps site & order boxes for free & have them delivered to your home. Make certain they say "priority mail" only. Do not use boxes or envelopes that say "regional" or "flat rate". Your mail carrier can pick them up when he delivers your mail. I try to mail my purchases the same or next day. I wrap my items & include thank you notes. The little things show your appreciation & could result in a return customer.

tracy390 @heidimay17 you just choose the "add to bundle" and it will ask what size if it's available in several sizes then choose your size and add to bundle. Once you've added everything you're interested in to your bundle the seller can offer a private discount if they choose to. You must bundle for a private discount not just "like" an item.

tracy390 @mydiva01 you share just the items you're interested in. Then they can give you a private offer. But you have to add it as a bundle for the posher to be able to give you an offer. You can't just like it. Hope that helps.

tracy390 @cnagydg you're welcome! I forgot to add that Poshmark does not have an app for your laptop or desktop computers. You can only use your cell or tablet at this time. I think they may be working on an app for use on your other devices. If you have pics on your computer that you want to use you send them to your phone as an email or message then save them on your phone & use that way. Hope this helps.

I have learned all these things over time on my own, but I'm confused about getting the reduced shipping on items over $10. I have reduced shipping many times on higher priced items by as much as 20% and my buyers did not receive the reduced shipping! After offering this and it did not happen, it was disappointing to my buyer and myself! ???

tracy390 @pomeranian567 sorry to hear that. It does have to be a certain % off the original asking price. That also happened to me. I'm not sure why it happens unless you have changed the price. I'm also not sure if there is a time limit on reducing the price. I wish I could help on this one but I would suggest sending a message to Poshmark about the item your referring too. Sorry I wish I couldn't help more.

tracy390 @fagarv it cannot be an item they just "liked". They must add it to your dressing room to make them an offer. Not sure if that answers your question. Hope it helps.

Every device is different but you usually hold down the power button or home button while also pushing the volume up or down button at the same time. If they add it to your dressing room you can make an offer to them that only they can see. They can also counter offer. I believe they have 24 hours to respond. The item will still be available for sale to others.

tracy390 @slgkali1 you would need to upgrade the shipping label. You do this under the “my sales” section in your account tab. I’m not certain of the cost because I’ve never had to do this but it is deducted from your earnings. I would think you could let the buyer know that they would have to pay for 2 separate orders to avoid having to upgrade the label. I know some wholesalers limit their bundles to a certain number of items. Hope this helps.

tracy390 @sonnyboy24 the more you share your listings the greater chance you have to make a sale. There is no limit on how often you can share. When you do this it bumps your listing up so if someone is searching for a specific item your listing will show up sooner than someone who has not shared their items for several days. If someone adds items as a “bundle” you have the option of offering a private discount that only that posher can see. They have 24 hours to respond to your offer. Or do i have to use each person's @------ information in the comment. Can you flag a closet as a favorite you like to purchase from? For example, if I wanted to be able to find your closet next week to shop.

tracy390 @123bosch so sorry for the delay. You do have to type in the poshers name (@.....) if you want a specific posher to receive a message. However if you lower the price on an item everyone who “liked” it will receive a notification. I am not aware if you are able to save another’s closet as a favorite. I don’t think Poshmark offers that option. You could always place an item in their dressing room & find it later that way. Hope this helps. Best wishes to you!

tracy390 NEW CHANGES ON SHIPPING BOXES! Effective immediately you can now use Flat Rate & Regional Rate Boxes. No need to worry about shipping in the proper boxes. However you still have a maximum weight limit of 5 lbs. If your order is over 5 lbs you will have to request an additional shipping label which is paid by the seller. tracy390 IMPORTANT INFORMATION! I wanted to add a note regarding shipping. This had never happened to me before today. When pricing & accepting an offer please keep in mind the weight of the package you’re sending. Poshmark only allows up to a 5 lb. max. If your items exceed 5 lbs the seller is required to request an upgraded shipping label which is deducted from the sellers profit (cost varies depending on weight). Just an FYI.

If they add as a “bundle” you can make a private offer to them. As far as screen shots every device is different. thebookmark @mydiva01 I’m considering using Instagram to help with sales. Do you notice a difference? I’m fairly new. @tracy390 has helped me a lot and I appreciate all of her help and kindness. The sharing items to closets for private offers has me so confused 🤷🏼‍♀️😂😂. Also, when you say click on the likes is that in our closet or on a post? One thing that has really helped me is that I make sure my items are wrinkle free. I also bought a mannequin from Amazon.

As far as making offers to likers, it goes like this: click on your item. At the bottom right corner, click on the price drop button. A pop up window then gives you 2 options. You then select offfer to likers. It has to be at least a 10% discount, and a shipping discount that you offer. Hope I answered some of your questions.🤗💕🦋🌸

tracy390 @lcbrinkley I’m not sure what you mean. When I share my listings I also share my signs I’ve made and that way they are throughout your closet and not all at the bottom. I also like all of my sold items at the end. As far as I know that’s the only way to do it. Feel free to screenshot any you like in my closet for your use. Hope this answers your questions. tracy390 @amypegram that’s what I understand. I’ve used the regional rate but never a flat rate. I believe Poshmark has some type of arrangement with USPS but not sure of the exact terms. You should be ok as long as it’s not over 5 lbs. Or you can use any box you may have on hand.

tracy390 @quimzies also Kelly you want to receive notifications for posh parties. Other poshers have theme based parties (based on brand like victories secret, coach & so on. Also item categories like tops, bottoms, lingerie, Shoes, men’s clothing). You want to share your items with as many posh parties as you can. You usually receive a notification of the party the day before. The host has a favorite pick from the party that could be your item!

tracy390 @ninknee hello Nancy. You can use priority mail, priority mail flat rate & regional rate boxes. You should not use express mail envelopes or boxes. If you look under “Frequency asked questions” go to page 4 & you will find information under the title “What kind of boxes can I use to ship my orders”. Hope this helps. Best wishes to you!!

tracy390 @kerryniec you can go to the listing in your closet and click on the arrows next to the edit button. You can then type in the name of the posher you would like to share the item/items and it goes directly to their closet.

tracy390 @kerryniec you can always add items you’re interested in as a bundle and it will be saved in your closet. You’re not obligated to purchase anything when you add to a bundle. Poshers can offer you a private discount as well when you add their items you’re interested in to your closet.

tracy390 @kerryniec Another way to share is to go to your main page (closet) and click on the icon that looks like a suitcase at the top right. Once opened you can see all items others have placed in your closet and you can also click on “seller view” and from there share your listings as well. I know it can be quite confusing. There’s a lot to learn. Let me know if you have any additional questions. Good luck with your sales!

tracy390 @kerryniec just wanted to make sure you understand bundling. You cannot just “like” an item for the seller to be able to offer a private discount. You must add the item using the “bundle” button. And others can do the same for items in your closet. Again you are not obligated to purchase when adding a bundle. It gives the seller a great opportunity to offer a discount.
