This dress is a really amazing piece of clothing. It's 100% polyester, floor length, and from the 1960s. Literally never been worn--the tags are still on 60 years later! Has a bit of a turtle neck cut and long sleeves. Large embellishment at the waistline, but is removable. There's cardboard in the neck to hold it up that's falling out but nothing wrong with the dress otherwise. It comes with a really neat story as well. Runs about a size 4/6 by today's standards.

ceejaycee33 @redytowear hi! While I know for a fact it’s not, what makes you say that?

redytowear @ceejaycee33 I’ve been in the fashion industry for 45 years. I can validate that the dress is 70’s by the fabric, style, rhinestone trim and most importantly the interior paper tag. Those were not used in the 40’s. What is the label?

redytowear @ceejaycee33 also polyester was first used in the 50’s but did not become widely used until the 60’s. Just a heads up so you can edit the listing. It’s a beautiful dress!

ceejaycee33 @redytowear my great grandmother had it sent to her from a friend in London who was a designer, as it was specially made for her. So maybe they were ahead of the curve as far as fashion? I know it can’t be 70s though, my grandmother talks about her mother wearing it when she was a kid. Is 50s possible?

redytowear @ceejaycee33 you grandmother might be mistaken and possibly it was another dress. The size hand tag is definitely from the 70’s and so is the dress. This fabric wasn’t available then. If it was custom made it would have a fabric tag inside with her name on it. Is there a manufacturer label?
