@taualii totally agree with you. If someone offers $5 for a $25 item, I’d rather donate the item to goodwill than sell it - I’m declining ridiculous offers now too. If someone wants something they will offer what it’s worth. Why did Poshmark contact you to tell you not to decline that low offer? I wonder if potential buyer complained. Sellers need to start having some protection as well.

@taualii Truth! 🙌 Preach it! Every time I try to be generous and accept a lowball they come back with some kind of complaint that they’ve made up. Totally not worth $2.50!!! Rude. I’ve even given someone TWO (one for free) of an item and got a 4 star rating! You can’t be nice anymore!

@taualii I know!! I just accepted a lowball offer on an item, then got a 4 star rating. I really don’t know what people are thinking. Someone offered $6 for anthro. Sweater that I’m selling for $25 which is a good deal anyway. I just declined b/c, it just was not a serious offer. They countered with $8!!!! Ugh. It just gets to be frustrating. Oh well. @taualii I once confronted a Girl who offered me $10 on a brand new item I had listed for $50. This item was originally $120 dollars. I proceeded to decline her offer and call her out by saying "lowballing is rude and if I wanted to sell it for $10 that's what I would have listed it for". She then went on to comment horrible things on multiple of my listings like 'scammer, don't buy from this girl, this item is a fake, this girl is a scammer' etc. Ridiculous!

I thought I was the only one this was happening too! One person made me so mad that I now understand why they won’t allow us to make comments in the offer area. I take good care of my things so it’s ‘like new’. I’ve priced my items at half off already & thats not good enough! I want to respond with “I know you want this item for free, so did I but that didn’t happen, so it’s not going to happen for you either. I’m trying to make a living not give my stuff away. Thank you.”

@whyhart no, you are not alone! If some offers $8 for a $30 item, I usually decline b/c, to me, that is not a serious offer. If someone really wants the item, they will make a fair offer. It is so frustrating tho. Best of luck to you😘

I’ve had people offer me $30 on an item that’s originally $264. I have it listed at $130. That’s not even a lowball. It’s a flat out insult. Seems no one is willing to pay $130 & I’m not going to lower the price because it’s going to cost me more to ship it so I’ve decided to pull it, separate 1 from the 3 pieces & have 2 separate listings instead. Each piece was $88 & is in ‘like new condition’. 🤦🏼♀️

@whyhart items over $40 seem to take longer to sell. - hang in there, it will sell just may take a bit longer. I’m so used to lowball offers, I don’t even get mad anymore, I just ignore or decline - I do hear ya- it is so frustrating 😩

THIS! I am a newer posher an am appalled by some of the offers. Good quality items listed for a fraction of the cost and people want it basically free! I understand everyone wants a good deal, but still. I'd like to see these people walk into a store and offer $10.00 for a NWT dress worth $60.00. Unreal
