For many that can't tell if uggs are fake or authentic.. here is something to help you out. There are many people out there tricking people for there money and passing fakes as authentic. I took the time to do this for many of you who have doubts before buying. Notice on last picture how the fakes are stitched along the edge, this applies to the bow Uggs too. I hope this helps! 😊 thank you!

caliqqqqThanks for taking the time to do this, I can't tell the difference & my daughter told me to just make sure they come w/box, that doesn't mean anything- very clever tactics these scammers have 😡
Aug 06Reply

slrm_ot_eet@caliqqqq your welcome! Some people think because the left boot has the hologram tag they are authentic but the ones who make counterfeit uggs have learned how to copy that too.
Aug 06Reply

jsjyostIs it safest to buy them new from the ugg website? I'd rather get them lightly used for less money, but still not sure if I could recognize a counterfeit. Thank you for this post!

ksnider29Can you make one of these for the sequins uggs? How to tell fake or not? Please?? Pretty please? Lol
Dec 25Reply

ballagrenI got tired of of not being sure, so Went to the UGGS website. THEY ARE HAVING A BIG SALE: BOOTS ARE 40-50% OFF! It was worth it to me to spent $107 (40% off) and know they are genuine. I just lost money buying “genuine UGGS. They are fake. Although I didn’t lose a ton of money, It was more than I should have paid. I’m in the process of talking with the seller about it now.
Dec 27Reply

ballagrenAlso-One thing is that the seller may totally believe they are real. With this said, they need to be able to provide information that can support authenticity. If not, I think they should say, “I am not 100% sure.”
Dec 27Reply

slrm_ot_eet@ksnider29 yes will do 😊

caliqqqqCan u tell me if water damaged uggs can be repaired by using uggs cleaning products or not able to? It’s actually my daughters question thx!!
Feb 24Reply

slrm_ot_eet@caliqqqq usually they should get fixed just scrub gently with warm water
Feb 24Reply

caliqqqq@slrm_ot_eet with a brush or a soft cloth? Sorry I don’t know much & she wants to buy a pair off the other sales app, I just don’t want her to waste her $ thanks again!!!
Feb 24Reply

slrm_ot_eet@caliqqqq it also depends how damaged they are. And it's better with a cloth because the brush will peel some of the fur
Feb 24Reply

caliqqqq@slrm_ot_eet most of the front- both boots 😕to be honest I can’t tell if it’s from snow
Feb 24Reply

lookhautecoutur@slrm_ot_eet that's sweet of you!
Mar 16Reply

dcsorelI e noticed a lot of the fake uggs the nap is really tall and uneven. A sheep will grow fur evenly and it doesn’t need to be stitched to the leather as it grows from it, lol! I’ve also noticed the lack of ugg logo on the soles and buttons! Thanks for warning everyone! It’s much needed!

4kristinaswayHi. I appreciate your post because I love Uggs. I had a question regarding Ugg boots. Will Uggs always have double stitching? I was looking at the pictures. In the 7th pic “or” the picture of the button Ugg is the the picture on the right the authentic Ugg? The stitching and button seam to be accurate however, the fur looks unusual on that right boot. I didn’t know if it was just the way the picture was taken or why it looks coarse looking. Thank you for you help.
Nov 19Reply

slrm_ot_eet@4kristinasway yes the one on the right is authentic.

rubylenlindley@slrm_ot_eet So first pi, which one is fake?
Mar 02Reply

adewitt1965Hello. Great post. If understanding correctly UGg does not put tag labels on thier products. If that is the case there are alot of them out there with hang tags.
Apr 17Reply

_needfulthings_Hi. I picked up a pair of uggs for my daughter and she doesn't like them... but I'm questioning their authenticity. They are black cardys with a tan tag. Should the tag be black too? Otherwise they look good. I was going to posh them but I didn't want to do so if they are fakes... Thanks!!
Aug 15Reply

slrm_ot_eet@_needfulthings_ the ugg logo on the heel should be black to match the boot not a different color
Aug 15Reply

_needfulthings_@slrm_ot_eet Thought so, thanks for your help. I was hoping they wouldn't make such an obvious flaw, but i guess to non-ugg people it's not obvious. Lesson learned.
Aug 15Reply

ginger1276@ballagren thanks u I just had a customer ask me and I can't answer obv cuz I'm clueless but not them off another site I actively use alongside this 1 so I'm not gonna say yes just taking the word from the seller it's very helpful this info seems 2 me posh would def support this type thing but if they already have an authentication service 4 designer stuff this would seem a clear obv to add or atleast for sellers 2 ask to have listings authenticated or ? Ty appreciate this

Nov 14Reply

ragsandflowersTranks for posting this o noticed 90% of ugg boots that are sold on Poshmark are FAKE
I bought two pairs until I noticed that
Always ask and check the security tag the shiny tag with the sun symbol
If the sun is not centered in the middle it’s a fake also the number has to be above the silver strip between the big symbol and the silver strip
NOT below the silver strip
The R symbol on the right side of ugg looks misplaced as well when it’s a fake
Nov 15Reply

kitanajadeHOKY CRAP!! THANKS A MILLION!!
Nov 21Reply

jlp_mtthanks for sharing, but your bow photos are difficult to determine what is right because of the real UGG being black, can't see anything. thanks
Nov 30Reply

7nicefindsHey! Do the real UGGs say “Made in Vietnam” or “Made in China”?
Dec 05Reply

rayogitanoDoes anyone know what color the heel tag is on the chocolate classic tall? Does it vary? I received 2 pair from Amazon and it was leather, did not say Australia on it. They did have tag in left boot but I returned them anyway. I see some others that it’s chocolate colored. Thanks in advance :)
Feb 15Reply

nisha000Hi, Thanks... your definitely right people be selling fake ones sometimes
Apr 17Reply

jclark569And... the real ones are actually made in China! I always thought they were made in Australia.. NOPE!
Dec 02Reply

angelac2483OMG thank you that's crazy because I was just looking at a pair of Uggs and they were brand new and I've never seen them before I liked them so I pressed that heart button for $49 and they have them in all different sizes and I'm thinking to myself how do I know if they're real
