This beautiful bracelet is made with natural lapis lazuli in a rich royal blue tone and natural black lava rocks This bracelet can also be used as an oil diffuser! Simply add one drop of your choice of essential oil to a couple of the lava rocks. The effect will last for a couple of days before you have to reapply. elmarge59 How can you tell natural lapis from simulated lapis ? I just bought a piece of jewelry here on Posh and was wondering. You are very creative and have some beautiful pieces. 🌺

peacefrog777 @elmarge59 Hi there, thank you for the compliment! It can be really difficult to tell natural lapis from imitation stone without running any tests. One thing to look for is flecks of iron pyrite, fool's gold, in the stone. The stones can also sometimes have white streaks of calcium. A fake lapis may look dull or gray or opaque, or it may look just too perfectly uniform.
