So I just wanted to show real vs fake. Obvious difference especially in person. Real is on the left fake if on the right. Be careful what you buy.

mattar@kassirr thank you SO much for this!! I always considered myself to be good at discerning between fakes and reals but it’s DEF much harder when only looking at pics and when you haven’t purchased that exact item before. This is SO helpful. You’re a gem :) happy holidays!!

Dec 13Reply

lux_lajollaI just bought one on Poshmark and you have to be very careful now because the fake one gets better and it is hard to know unless you have the real one next to you. They even use the authentic box and the belt bag to make it look believable. You can check my post where I also have pics comparing the fake and real one. Thanks for your posting. It’s sad because you don’t know if you can rest assure to get a real one anymore.

Mar 03Reply

jjjenjenThank you for posting ! I just bought this belt on Poshmark. Your pictures were extremely helpful confirming I’d purchased a Fake . As soon as this resolves I’ll be buying from you . Thank you

Mar 07Reply

kassirr@jjjenjen hello!😊I’m so glad I could be of help to you! When it comes to designer belts I know it can be tricky unfortunately. And of course! I always have really cool items so feel free to check out my page every once in a while!(:

Mar 07Reply

shabbydaisy84@kassirr are you able to show real vs fake serial numbers as well? I’ve noticed the font on my authentic one is much different than the fake ones, which could also help people <3

Mar 08Reply

dehavenartsHow can you tell with vintage 1964 ?

Mar 14Reply

hindlehomeDoes Gucci now putting two Circle stamps above the GUCCI Made in Italy and belt numbers? Is it real or fake if it has a G in a circle and the trademark stamp of R in a smaller circle?

Mar 23Reply

kassirr@hindlehome not that I’m aware of no. Most of the time, if you question its authenticity most likely it’s not real. Maybe the stamping has changed since last year, but I highly doubt it. Best way to know for sure is to check it out at the store or chat with a Gucci rep online! Hope that helps(:

Mar 24Reply

hindlehome@kassirr it wasn’t authentic and it came with a receipt as well! The tip was the “location” of the store on the receipt. It was misspelled when I googled it. Then when I called the store they confirmed it wasn’t authentic. Amazing the lengths these people go to.

binglyThanks for making this.

reccawearOmg I’m so happy to find this I’m looking at a silver unisex G embossed black belt with the serial number 411924 then letters can’t remember C something ) I think there’s 6 letters )then the rest of the serial number4480199! I thought Gucci had 21 numbers no letters I’m confused Please help

Aug 02Reply

fabricia07Hello! I’m trying to find out if the belt is real or not because is very similar to the real. Thank you fo sharing The pictures that you showed that helps a lot. My question is the GG can be more shiny? Thanks in advance :)

Aug 08Reply

genamorgan1Hi,thank you for sharing this.i bought one on ebay, and im not convince it its real.my question is in the authentic one what side your supposed to put the buckle on is it in the right or left?the one i bought you need to start putting the belt on the left to make the double g right.

Aug 15Reply

aleigh_xo‼️ATTENTION WARNING: DO NOT BUY FROM USER NICE123246! SELLER STATED IT WAS AUTHENTIC AND IT WAS NOT‼️

Sep 18Reply

jpylidisCan you take a picture of the inside where the stamp is? Currently buying one, but still trying to tell if it’s real or not. Thanks!

Sep 26Reply

editarink@hindlehome only 1 stamp I just bought belt last week from gucci store

Oct 05Reply

jennalynnbroCan you please help out with serial numbers. Most websites say they are numbers only, some don’t. Some say 21 digits, while others don’t. Is this different for every style belt? Would love to know as I just purchased what I believe is real Gucci.

Oct 30Reply

guarinojHi, does the GG buckle vary in shininess? I have a belt, told to be authentic by a seller on Poshmark. Everything looks great but the GG is a little shinier than the one in the store. No receipt or box. I took it to Neiman's but they are not allowed to authenticate and I do not have a local store here. Thank you

Nov 28Reply

kassirr@guarinoj honestly mine is kinda dull and I just bought a new one. If it’s really shiny then I would question it.

Nov 28Reply

guarinoj@kassirr thank you

Nov 28Reply

dltclosetThis is so helpful! Almost just purchased a very real looking fake.

Nov 29Reply

kenadibrown@reccawear did you ever find out if it was real?

Jan 09Reply

ianluxurySo many fakes for sale out there . I think I just got bought a fake one . Leather smells and doesn’t seem like Gucci quality

Feb 21Reply

phuongnguyen774Hi if the fake one has any series number like the real one ? Is there anyway you can take pic of the inside part of the belt ?

Feb 27Reply

kassirr@phuongnguyen774 hi I’ll upload a post on my belt later tonight so u can see what everything should look like !

Feb 27Reply

phuongnguyen774Thank you 😊 your post is very helpful though

Feb 28Reply

yazi5@sonyarorie see this post....

Mar 02Reply

yazi5@yiotam17 they usually buy fake Gucci for $65 and sell them on Poshmark for $260... Think about it who has that much Gucci belts to sell in the beginning, for that low price... and the fake GG is shiny and on the real one it’s not supposed to be as shiny....

Mar 02Reply

yazi5@yiotam17 they blocked me and I can’t reply to you on there post but even if you ask them is it authentic, they will tell you yes but it’s not. if you buy from them and take it to the Gucci store you’ll find out that it’s not authentic.

Mar 02Reply

yazi5@aferra don’t let her fool you with her fake gucci belt. she blocked me so I can’t reply back. they come with duster bag, box and tag but it’s all fake. it’s a $60 fake belt that they’re selling for $260.

Mar 02Reply

yiotam17@yazi5 yes! I wondered how they could sell so many for so cheap...I thought maybe they somehow night at wholesale/discount. But doesn't Poshmark have to authenticate it??!! That's what I read on the site. Do you know anything about that?

Mar 02Reply

yazi5@yiotam17 that’s what I thought and almost bought one and then did my research. PoshMark not check if it’s authentic, but they do give you your money back if you return it.

Mar 02Reply

fitkent@jjjenjen did they fix it? Because I think I have the same situation!

Mar 10Reply

fitkent@saraesong did they fix the problem? I just made the same mistake! Ughh

Mar 10Reply

lu1chyI just paid 400 for a belt from Posh here - but I have been doing a lot of research before it comes and I’m thinking I might have been a victim here ! Is there anyway you can help me here is the post ! I am newer to Posh but I love this site and would love to purchase more high end things form you - especially if you help me ! ... I’ll get the link .....

Apr 30Reply

jacky_v03Thank you for posting this, I just bought one. Compared to what you posted it looks real, I hope it is.

May 17Reply

triple_r_style@fitkent I just made it he same mistake, did Poshmark give you your mi way back??

Jun 17Reply

bertboudreaux@yiotam17 Hi, the last time I checked, PM only checks authentication of items priced $500.00 & above unfortunately. PM should check more items bc this is a HUGE problem here. Hope I helped u.

Jun 23Reply

bertboudreaux@yazi5 Hi! Was hoping u would let us know who the seller is please? I was about to purchase a Gucci belt on PM but didn’t bc a few red flags but honestly, idk enough ab how to tell if an item is counterfeit. I’m certainly going to learn!!

Jun 23Reply

yazi5@bertboudreaux If you go on a seller and they are selling multiple ones and they’re all for $200 to $250, that’s when you need to be careful because nobody can have that many belts and sell them that cheap.! I searched on YouTube and they also bought from people on here and they were fake. It’s sad what people will do just to make money

Jun 23Reply

tcmalecki@yazi5 THANK YOU!! I was checking a listing here, and someone asked the seller about authenticity. Seller replied she gets them from a boutique and there are no receipts. So, why would a boutique sell them to her at a lower price ( she’s selling them for $260.00) when they could sell the belts to their own customers? Hope that theory made sense. And B. Why would this girl have so many? Not like you can buy in bulk Prob is, is that here look REALLY good. I can’t tell the difference.

Jul 17Reply

yazi5@tcmalecki Yes the fake ones looks so real that it’s very hard to see the difference but I guarantee you that most majority of these people are selling them and they are fake and telling people they are authentic it’s sad what people will do for money...And if you buy them off of the fake websites they’re actually $60. So on here they tell people they’re authentic to make a profit out of them

Jul 17Reply

yazi5@tcmalecki Now that people know that they’re fake, they’re making multiple accounts on here and selling 1 to 2 belts for $299 and telling people they’re authentic.! Be very careful, I would rather buy it from the store full price then buy it on here for $300 and it’s fake

Jul 17Reply

yazi5@tcmalecki like for example this person Despean51 has many accounts but change the number at the end of the name like Despean48, they are selling fake belts to people but just so people don’t notice that they’re fake there’s making multiple accounts and only selling 1 or 2 belts on that account....

Jul 17Reply

yazi5@bertboudreaux One of the people on here that selling fake is Despean51. They also have many accounts were they have the same name but different number at the end like Despean48...etc Do not buy from them they are fake

Jul 17Reply

cris9988@yazi5 I didn't read through the comments, but what do fake gucci belt serial numbers look like ? vs real.?

Jul 24Reply

yazi5@cris9988 You actually can’t tell of the serial number when you’re just looking at it but when you go to check it out at the real Gucci store if it’s fake or not they will let you know and type it in in their system. A girl on YouTube Bought a belt from Poshmark and took it to the store to see if it’s real and it was fake.! She was so surprised because she couldn’t tell the difference between them.!

Jul 24Reply

cris9988@yazi5 ok great thank u!!!

666wlrd22hi just posted a gucci belt that i bought from another posher.. can you tell if its real or not? please help thanks

Aug 07Reply

hs222@kassirr -hi just found this post. Bought a belt from a seller...looks very close to real. My friend bought the same belt - the belt she received has the exact same serial numbers in the area where they should be. Assuming this means both are fake - correct? Each new style Gucci Guccissima belt should have different numbers other than the size area - correct?

Nov 04Reply

amy5421I just bought a belt from a seller and it arrived with NO serial number at all. Total fake. Hopefully I"ll get a refund as I'm not happy about this at all.

Nov 05Reply

Nov 09Reply

Nov 09Reply

luxjbs@kassirr I also got a fake on posh. What should the price tag look like? Thanks!

Jan 06Reply

lbholla25Hi, my wife just bought this belt on Poshmark and we are trying to confirm if it’s authentic. We see most are posted with the serial number by the buckle but hers has it towards the middle of the belt. Please let me know where the serial number is supposed to be located since I don’t see it in your pictures. Thanks for the help, really appreciate it!
