poshzilla@jetsetter808 hi i think you're referring to the sac chien which is another style dog carrier by Louis Vuitton. this is their baxter PM dog carrier which is more like a purse and does not close on top.

poshzilla@catz48 yes the straps are long enough to use as a shoulder bag! LV's description of this bag had stated it was for dogs up to 10lbs but i don't know how comfortable it'd be for the dog. i'd say 6 to 7lbs max. for reference my yorkie is 4lbs so your maltese would be perfect for this!
