zalfam As a long-time Pandora collector, I have to thank you for putting this together. SO many people are unaware that they are purchasing counterfeit Pandora. Not only is this unfair to the customer, but it has a negative impact on those like yourself, who are making these beautiful pieces available at amazing prices. For collectors like myself, it makes it difficult to "weed through" the nonsense, phony look-alike listings hoping to discover what I am looking for - shops like yours. KUDOS to you!

megdragon @zalfam Thank you so much! That means a lot to me. ๐Ÿ˜Œ I love Pandora and it really bothers me that there is so much imitation out there, with unsuspecting shoppers being lied to. ๐Ÿ˜ก When I worked there, I went through extensive training on how to tell what is authentic, so I thought I would share that here. Hopefully it will help a few people find what they're looking for. ๐ŸŽ€

ttree916 This is helpful, thank you. I would feel more confident shopping your closet. I am currently building a rose gold bracelet Until now, I've only purchased my charms & bracelets at Pandora. I just recently shopped Poshmark. Prior to acceptance, I am taking them up to the Pandora store or a authorized retailer. Will they be able to authenticate the charms I purchased? Thank you.
Jan 27Reply
megdragon
megdragon @ttree916 Yes anyone there with experience should be able to confirm for you. When I worked there, many people came in just to ask that very question. I would love to see your rose Bracelet!
Jan 27Reply
ttree916
ttree916 @megdragon I can post once I authenticate. They all have the ALE and R for rose. I am just cautious, itโ€™s a big investment and I donโ€™t understand why people would try and cheat others ๐Ÿ˜ž. Thank you for blessing others with your knowledge. We can easily be a victim.
Jan 27Reply
ttree916
ttree916 @megdragon Megan, Pandora was able to authenticate the bracelet and 1 of the charms. The other 4 , not so lucky. I purchased the bracelet and 1 charm from one Posher. The 4 fake charms from another. Ironically, I had one of the real charms and wanted another. When the 4 arrived, that rose my suspicion. It was bigger, weight was less and looked different. All the things you advised people to look for.
Jan 27Reply
ttree916
ttree916 I am saddened by the amount of people who want to do this. I would encourage anyone who buys from anywhere other than an authorized dealer, to take the item to Pandora BEFORE you accept the purchase. Blessings to you for helping others be aware. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend.
Jan 27Reply

megdragon @ttree916 ๐Ÿ˜ณ I'm sorry that happened! Good thing you went to Pandora first. I hope it comes to swift resolution for you. ๐ŸŒธ if you ever have Pandora questions, feel free to message me. ๐ŸŽ€

megdragon @beautifulshops Nooooo. I'm so sorry! Did you open a case
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops I just found out she is a scammer yesterday, and I don't want to be constantly calling people out by name ya know. I wish I could warn everyone!
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon I did with Poshmark. Her charms look legit though. I didnโ€™t have enough time to go to a pandora store since itโ€™s 45mins away from home. It took me more than 3 days to get it checked by pandora. Poshmark said they will make this an exceptional though. Hopefully I get my money back :c.
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon how did you spot that her charms are fake though....Iโ€™m pretty new at this :c
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops good! I have a feeling she's already on the radar, thus the exception. Did the Charms you got look like the pix?
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon it does, it also have the stamp S925 ALE, but the cinderella carriage looks a bit odd since the heart in the middle is bigger than the authentic one. Well not so lucky Pandora saids all of the charms I bought from her are fake LOL.
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon I just bought 2 charms from this seller and Iโ€™m a bit skeptical. I will tag you in, can you do me a favor and look at them? Thanks girly!
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops @sms07v She has a listing for a clip that is "silver", but gold in color. There is no charm like that. I've studied the catalogue and the retired archives. Plus many of the "stamps" on the Charms are not dark enough - they look cheap.

sms07v @megdragon what seller are you talking about so I can beware, thanks
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops I looked at that closet and I think you are good. She seems to be a casual Posher (like me) which is a good sign. Her pictures are thorough and clear, but not professionally staged (also a good sign). When I see 90 photos of Charms at limited angles resting delicately on ribbons and boxes with special lighting I go Hmmmm ๐Ÿค”. I am tying to encourage Posh to outlaw Stock photos. It's ridiculous and unethical that someone can sell 30 "authentic" charms off the same image.
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon yup! Too professional means โ€œsuspiciousโ€ to me after that one mistake purchased. Thank you so much girl! ๐Ÿ˜ป
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon I donโ€™t get how some poshers got so many โ€œnewโ€ Pandora charms and bracelets to sell at a discount price. Where to they get their stock from? Iโ€™m pretty curious.
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @ttree916 can you tag me to them so I can buy from them too please? :) thank you! Iโ€™m new to Pandora.
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @sms07v hello ๐Ÿ™‚. chopergs I saw you comment on that listing earlier that's why I tagged you but she blocked me. ๐Ÿ˜ also 8heartsandarrows, shara01, sarasara1717, luxeivy, rapunzel011. TO BE CLEAR: I suspect all of these of scamming, but Poshmark has the final word. It might take some time though for something to be done.
Feb 13Reply
sms07v
sms07v @megdragon yea i donโ€™t like 8heartssndarrows because whoever seems rude and offended with any questions, thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it๐Ÿค—
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops Okay so, far as I can tell, some scammers order loads of cheap fake Charms from China (for instance), and then post photos of real Charms, or very favorable pix of the fake ones, and many times the Buyer gets the fake and assumes it's real. They make so much off that process they can afford to acquire enough Real Pandora to produce for more discerning customers, or if Posh wants to inspect it.
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon how about charms with the stamps ale? Arenโ€™t it illegal?
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops the ones who aren't selling fakes - i have questions about that too. I know some are using their employee discount or status as a franchise holder (which is a big percent off) to get merch to sell on at a profit. When I worked there, that was obviously very strictly not allowed. We had to fill out papers for each employee purchase, stating that it was for our own use, or a special occasion gift for a close fam member. Some franchises might be more lax on all that but โ˜น๏ธ not cool
Feb 13Reply
beautifulshops
beautifulshops @megdragon ahh... now ic why Pandoraโ€™s representatives often wear 1-2 bracelet w/ full charms and Iโ€™m so jealous ๐Ÿ˜ข
Feb 13Reply
megdragon
megdragon @beautifulshops definitely illegal! Pandora goes through a lot of trouble to try and squash all the imitations, but it's the same as Coach, Louis Vuitton etc. Pull up one weed and four grow in its place. I did hear they have a new designer (who is Italian) and lately they're doing such intricate styles (that's a compliment lol) it is getting a little easier to spot the difference. The ALE thing really bugs me tho

hillaryhudson20
hillaryhudson20 Thank you for this post, I am very new to this Iโ€™m actually expecting my first charms in the mail this week. I got my first bracelet last week. I know itโ€™s legit, but now Iโ€™m worried that all my charms are fakes. Iโ€™m going to go through this list right down these names and block all of these fools. I sell tons of Kate Spade items and Betsey Johnson. I know a fake when I spot it. However, with Pandora I am ignorant.
Mar 01Reply
hillaryhudson20
hillaryhudson20 One question? ALE What does that mean? And if the charm has it on there is it legit? Take your time to answer Iโ€™m about to leave work. Thank you again for the post, you are amazing!
Mar 01Reply
megdragon
megdragon @hillaryhudson20 The second to last post is from Pandora explaining ALE are the initials of the founderโ€™s father. Sadly, there are many fakes out there with an ALE stamp. It is a little harder to get away with that, so a huge amount of โ€œinspired byโ€ charms just have 925. You can usually tell by the placement of the stamps and the font and spacing. Feel free to bring your charms to Pandora and anyone experienced can help you compare to the actual charm or their knowledge of it.

fab_fashionista
fab_fashionista This is a very cool listing. Beautiful editing! I love Pandora and got into it a few years ago. I mainly buy from their store or online but sometimes buy on posh from other poshers. I recently almost brought a fake two days ago. It was stamped with s925 ale and everything but the writing looked sloppy and weird. So sad to see so many fakes! I try my best not to buy any fakes from others and mix them in with my beautiful collection!

You should feel safe spending your money, and if that means you shop only at Pandora and authorized retailers then more power to you!

jazatty1
jazatty1 Ok what about the others? I attempted to tag you in one for tamoxt & chopergs it would not allow me to comment anymore... do that means they blocked me?
Sep 10Reply
megdragon
megdragon @jazatty1 the Bella Bot in Rose has been a popular item for counterfeiters... the stamp ALE MET is correct, however - it is a new stamp from Pandora. The real test is to scrutinize the details of the design and compare to Pandoraโ€™s own product photos. The face and arms and bow should be crisp and defined
Sep 10Reply
megdragon
megdragon @jazatty1 unfortunately tamoxt and chopergs are not sellers I can recommend. I have heard many buyers and Pandora enthusiasts mention them by name as suspected of selling fake charms. If you canโ€™t comment, it means they blocked you, yes. Probably because they saw you asking questions โ˜น๏ธ

jazatty1 Ok thanks, at least she did not block me, so far...
Sep 10Reply
megdragon
megdragon @jazatty1 youโ€™re very welcome The very best thing to do is take them to your local Pandora and ask about authenticity. They get special training and can compare the charms side by side. In the case of much older charms (such as the โ€˜rose bouquetโ€™) they might not have knowledge that far back, but they can help you.
Sep 10Reply
jazatty1
jazatty1 I will do that thanks
Sep 10Reply
megdragon
megdragon @jazatty1 as far as Poshmark is concerned, you can still report an issue after you have accepted your order(although itโ€™s not their policy). You will need pictures of your items and it would be better to have the word of a Pandora employee to add to your complaint. They might not be able to get your money back, but in the long run, it helps them fight back on counterfeiters
Sep 10Reply
jazatty1
jazatty1 @megdragon ok I will do that as soon as Pandora confirms they arรฉ counterfeited

texasbadgirl69 if you get a moment will you please look at my bracelets I know some of the items were yours thankyou and I've bought from other reliable sources including pandora.net but I dont not ever want to sell anything fake to anyone so no names will be mention on who from what but if it's got a fake item in it and I didnt say it was questionable in the desc. then I want to know and remove the item thankyou so much maam I appreciate you very much more than you know
Jan 16Reply
megdragon
megdragon @texasbadgirl69 sure no problem. Of course I can not be 100% sure from photos only, but as far as I can tell, they look legit! One item I have doubts about is the green Murano on the 4th of July bracelet. I've never seen that design before, and in research it didn't show up for me. It would have to be older, and the stamp looks odd for that time?
Jan 16Reply
megdragon
megdragon @texasbadgirl69 the only other item I'm not sure about is the two tone heart on the Kiss Me bracelet. With the lighting I can't see the stamp, but if you know the source is legit, nothing to worry about!
Jan 16Reply
texasbadgirl69
texasbadgirl69 @megdragon right ok I'll put that in the description I have a couple like that
Jan 16Reply
megdragon
megdragon @texasbadgirl69 some tips for selling designed bracelets: mixed color schemes are less likely to sell. Many people are not into muranos at all, so you might consider styling a bracelet or two without them, and sell them separately in a bundle. Also, if you don't have clips, it might be better to have less charms on the bracelet for sale, so the potential buyer isn't concerned about damage to the charms.
Jan 16Reply
megdragon
megdragon @texasbadgirl69 hope this helps! ๐ŸŒผ
Jan 16Reply
texasbadgirl69
texasbadgirl69 @megdragon that stamp is inside the piece and its reputable I believe but I'll check it out did you look at all of them? all 6 wow you are quick will be adding more soon want to finish before I go to work in Feb. so I'm done buying for now till my next time off in Nov. but I'll still be around just not at home again thankyou so much that means so much to me people act like I'm taboo and that's really not my intention
Jan 16Reply
megdragon
megdragon @texasbadgirl69 green is a tough sell in general. There's a reason the majority of their colors are pink and purple. the customer who is looking for green might want them all anyway ? Just a thought

megdragon @texasbadgirl69 it's a touchy subject, and I wouldn't take it personally. ๐Ÿ˜Œ Pandora is always the ultimate authority on authenticity, and anyone can make a mistake one way or the other. I appreciate that you want to be honest ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

megdragon @texasbadgirl69 it's really hard to tell when the same stock photos are used over and over. :/ I have gone round and round with Poshmark about this issue and have come to the conclusion they are not that interested.

cinday1821 Hi I came across your post. Can I get your help please! Can you check @ maryclark120 if sheโ€™s selling authentic ? Please!! I would highly appreciate it. :)

megdragon @cinday1821 Hi there. In general, I am not able to verify authenticity of items or sellers just by looking here on Posh. However, I have personally ordered from that seller before, and consider her trustworthy. Hope this helps

vickits
vickits Any thoughts on the seller dan8a? Iโ€™m keen to put in an offer on some charms but hesitant as I canโ€™t understand how someone could sell so many charms at discount. Thanks for any advice.
May 24Reply
megdragon
megdragon @vickits I was not familiar with that seller but I did look carefully at their Closet. I want to emphasize that I cannot anything for certainty just by looking. Here's what I observed: 1) the discounts are not that deep. Most items are marked down by $5-$10. It is very plausible to sell authentic pandora at that price. 2) the items are not marked as new - in fact, no condition is listed. So the charms could be used to varying levels....
May 25Reply
megdragon
megdragon @vickits ... 3) They appear to use the same photos over and over. The photos themselves do not look suspicious to me, but if they are not of the actual item then that's not relevant. And because the listings don't describe condition, it is risky to buy without seeing what you're getting. 4) Their About the Seller listing has been deleted. I would prefer to see it because unhappy customers tend to air their grievances there. Sometimes, a seller will delete to make it all go away....

megdragon
megdragon @vickits ... bottom line, I don't have a basis for doubting or trusting the Closet. Which means they are not providing enough information. If you choose to try, I would recommend asking questions about condition, and for pictures of the actual item for sale. If they ignore you, or dance around the questions with lame excuses, it's probably because they are dishonest. Hope this helps. Happy Poshing and stay safe!

diaz8080
diaz8080 @zalfam hello sweet lady. theres a lady on here who sells pandora All. beryl_dora and I think they might not be real . and problem is I just follidhly purchased some rings ...after my daughter says mom make sure theyre authentic. Could you possibly look into it and give me some advice. Thanks
Aug 29Reply
megdragon
megdragon @diaz8080 hi there. Unfortunately it's impossible for me to know what you might be getting. The oldest order from that Closet is only 7 days ago, so there isn't past feedback to look over. The heavy use of stock images is always a red flag for me - I want to see the actual item I'm buying.
Aug 29Reply
megdragon
megdragon @diaz8080 the best advice I can give you is when you receive your items take them to Pandora immediately for authentication (before accepting the order). If you get bad news there, you can reach out to Posh for help. Hope everything works out for you.

gatorgirlga
gatorgirlga I ordered charms from fifibeads and they are not authentic Pandora charms. Beware of this seller. When trying to figure out how to return them, I clicked accept or approve and now I have no idea how to receive my refund. Any tips? Thanks!
Nov 11Reply
megdragon
megdragon @gatorgirlga oh no! I'm sorry. Contact Poshmark ASAP and tell them what happened. Include photos (that you have taken yourself) and if you have verbal confirmation from the Pandora store include that too.

gatorgirlga @megdragon Thank you. I was reading the "Meet the Posher" comments and apparently several people have had problems with this seller.

megdragon @oreeoos1971 hi there! I have been asked about that seller a few times before.... I don't personally have any experience buying from them so I can't say for sure. I can say that I would not buy anything from them based on their Closet. There are fake charms being sold (as "unbranded") and some of the "Pandora" pics are of fake items in my opinion.

oreeoos1971
oreeoos1971 @megdragon I have not received my items yet so I just wonโ€™t accept them. They have not shipped yet so I donโ€™t think I can cancel my order

megdragon @oreeoos1971 maybe they will be real? Can't know for sure until they come. Best thing to do is take them to a Pandora store if you can.

kl0setjunkie
kl0setjunkie Hello. I believe I purchased a fake pandora bracelet on another aftermarket site. They are willing to help me get a refund so long as I provide proof from A third-party authenticatorโ€™s or manufacturerโ€™s determination of inauthenticity. Any third partyโ€™s you can recommend would be greatly appreciated.

xlflorentin
xlflorentin Hi, Iโ€™m a Pandora collector and started buying on Poshmark recently. I want to believe that people are legit but worried when I found a link to your post in Google. My recent purchases have been from maddiefr, claranorwood51, and bacquithetty98 as Iโ€™m building a gold bracelet. Is there anything you can share about these sellers? Greatly appreciated.
