mashif @supersweetkate thank you. I'm trying to figure out if it's a triplet or a solid stone. It's so hard to tell from photos! Can you tell if the stone is visible through the bottom (like if you hold a light up to it it will shine all the way through) or a black substance?

supersweetkate @mashif Hey! I took some pics with a flashlight. You can definitely see through the stone. I hope these new pics can better help. Please let me know. 🙂

supersweetkate @mashif Hi! I called my distributor and he told me that this is a natural Boulder Opal from Australia. The opals are mined out of predominately iron based rock, hence the name boulder opal. The opals usually form in thin band through out the rock. Boulder Opals in general have a natural occurring thin layer of iron that helps the vivid colors stand out. This is not a triplet or a doublet opal. It is a natural occurring boulder opal.
