smr1980My mom fought 2B and she’s 10 years cancer free! Its not easy but with love and support your Mom will beat this too! I’ll be praying for her & and your family. Hold tight and never be afraid to show emotions, to say what you are feeling and most of all don’t let your mom try to be one of those that thinks she doesn’t needs the extra meds. They are there to help her. Always take them to ward off the nausea and pain before it hits otherwise trying to chase bone pain and the neuropathy is so hard.

I have to hear her voice everyday and know how she is feeling every day. She is so strong and trying to keep living as normal as she can. I’m so proud of her. michellelynn875I have metastatic bc. spread to 10 nodes. Had a full mastectomy & hysterectomy. I have lymphedema, the anti cancer drugs cause joint pain, swelling! But I'm grateful each day I wake & have another day with my family! I'm 42, married 21 yrs, 3 boys. When I found u, read ur story it touched my heart. slbrkI am not surprised by your Moms reaction to her surgical site. Unless these ladies get the proper preoperative teaching they need, they are never prepared. She needs to know she CAN & SHOULD GET RECONSTRUCTION to her breast & I don’t care if she was 100 years old!!! It is her RIGHT & YES, the insurance companies are required to pay for this series of surgeries. The first procedure is longer. Then after that, most are one day surgery procedures. Best of luck! Bones,brain,lung or liver is where it is most likely where will come. I had both breast removed and was way way to sick to even consider reconstruction. The surgeon told me I would die on the table. Now I want breast,but these Dr will have to tell me best way
