I’ve sold 18 items, mostly small, but am beginning to invest in some NWT pieces. What about you? Do you think you’ll stick with it after you’ve cleaned your own closet?

heyengelking I typically wear either an 8 or 8.5. Do you think they run small and if so do you think you’ll get an 8.5 pair?

vs1229 @heyengelking hi- I don’t think these are made in half sizes, but it sounds like the 39 is what you’d need anyway. Also, since these are leather, there will be some amount of stretching, if needed, to conform to your foot as you break them in. I don’t know personally if they run small, but I’m between a 7 and 7.5, and I go higher if in doubt. If I end up with a shoe that’s a little big, I put in an insole cushion and end up with a more comfortable shoe anyway. :)

vs1229 @heyengelking I have a narrow foot too, let me see how they feel on me. Do you intend to wear socks/footies with them? I'd recommend it initially, because although I've heard they soften up and become very comfortable when broken in, the leather seems stiff on these new pairs. I'll try with and without. As I think about it, given your narrow feet, maybe you should order smaller instead of bigger if you're in between sizes...

vs1229 @heyengelking Just tried them on with and without regular socks (no clean footies!) and found that the slipped a little without the socks, but the shoe was a little tight at the top of the foot with socks. Like Goldilocks, my conclusion is that in between the two (i.e. footies) would be just right. Also, I normally wear 7 or 7.5, and this was in the size 37 pair -- 38 would've been too big, but I do wear size 7 more frequently than 7.5.

heyengelking Thanks for the info. So many reviews are mixed. A lot of reviews say they are not comfy and the zipper fails. Some say the gray is really taupe. Mixed on sizing. It’s really confusing. I love the look but want them to fit right and last. Are these like the gray you’ve shown in the stock photo or more taupe? I typically wear a 39 in closed toe shoes but my pikolinos are a 38. Thoughts?

vs1229 @heyengelking they’re more like the brown that you see in the feet against the wall. Having tried them on earlier, I can say they were more comfortable than I’d expected from just having handled them. I suppose the key is to wear socks until you break them in, but my foot without the sock wasn’t hurting for the limited time I wore the shoe. Also surprising? They’re cuter on than I’d expected...

vs1229 @heyengelking I think you could find it in a store at full price to try them on, and then get them cheaper online when you know the ideal size, although I felt somehow guilty the time I did it. Do you typically have issues with fit? I honestly don’t know what to recommend. I don’t wear a pair myself, so I can only go by reviews I’ve read that, as you said, are mixed, comfort-wise!

vs1229 @heyengelking wish I could be more helpful! I’m the worst salesperson, but I’d probably pass on them if I had several reservations. The coloring varies from shoe to shoe, I believe, but they all are varying shades of that taupe. Can’t remember if I have two in your size- if I do, you could select which coloring variation you prefer. Just let me know, have a good night. :)

vs1229 @heyengelking Just checked and I have one pair— I took and uploaded a couple more unfiltered photos to show you how the leather was dyed to make them look distressed. I imagine as time goes by, you’d see some fading — along with creasing as you break them in — so the color variances will become less obvious.

vs1229 @heyengelking I’ll throw in the kids with the shoes and give you a good bundle price. ;) No, my daughter helps with everything because I have a way more than full-time job and PM takes up more time than I’d initially anticipated. Anyway, I measured from one end of the sole to the other and it was 10 & 3/4 inches, but the heel sticks out a little over the sole, so I’d say it’s right around 11 in. Does that make sense? Wish I’d thought to take pics, because I’m not home now.
