Apr 10Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @c00c00nut it was my two take the reins sets, she is claiming i sent her a navy one instead XL top and M bottom, just like the one that fancy pants sold a couple weeks ago, but these do not have tags, but she could have worn them already. Name is Jessica, address is Vinewood lane in pueblo, CO

autismom1817
autismom1817 I actually know another seller - and even I was starting to do it myself, but she records as she packs of what she is selling. That way if this ever happens, she has proof
Apr 10Reply
katiekhaos
katiekhaos @shootersaleen use the pics of your listing to dispute with posh! This is happening to a girl who sold a pair of brand new Louboutin shoes, buyer opened claim that was approved and seller got back a busted up, completely trashed pair of shoes that were. Different model and size!!!!
Apr 10Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @katiekhaos yes I guess i need to start recording like that! I am disputing with posh, she has a very different item from my pictures, and mine clearly show different sizes on the size tags, but she just says that's because i sent her the wrong item. i haven't heard back from posh yet
Apr 10Reply
katiekhaos
katiekhaos @shootersaleen well posh is denying that other seller but she won’t stop (good for her!!!!) I personally snap a few pics of the item (tags, retail tags if still attached, and of the item in general) next to the printed shipping label

jessbarkemeyer @shootersaleen reply to Posh. I had a girl try to scam me and I kept following up with Posh. Posh closed the case in my favor so she had to keep the item and I kept the money. Just keep on Posh and send the proof from fancy pants.

shootersaleen @sew_dolledup yikes, I'm so glad you saw this then! It would be awful to lose those! 😣😣
Apr 11Reply
sew_dolledup
sew_dolledup Just another heads up to those selling, I just realized why she wouldn’t offer over $500 dollars. Poshmark would verify the item before it even ships to her. My Louboutins are listed at like $550 for that reason and she continuously offered $498 and $499. Be cautious if you see this. I was wondering why she wouldn’t want the free authentication.
Apr 11Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @sew_dolledup wow that's a really good point, I would not have even thought about that!

trendingw_taryn
trendingw_taryn This is awful!! Another girl just did this to a Posh Seller with Louboutin shoes! The seller lost her good shoes in the end and was sent a deplorable pair of the buyers. It's a sellers nightmare 😞 so sorry this happened! I take video of most everything now
Apr 11Reply
stacy1607
stacy1607 That girl is horrible! I will definitely block as soon as I'm done typing. Unfortunately, others have pulled this as well. The best way to protect yourself is to take a video of the item next to the postage label. Put in every listing you take a video to ensure items are exactly as described. Scammers wont be interested and good buyers will appreciate your confidence in your item. Selling on here scares me! I'm really sorry this happened to you.
Apr 12Reply
stacy1607
stacy1607 ps.. I went to block her and I see she removed her picture. She must know about this helpful listing of yours. I'm really sorry she did this to you. I would be livid!!!!!
Apr 12Reply
stacy1607
stacy1607 @shootersaleen Hi! I'm a higher dollar seller who videos everything. If you're going to video, put in every single listing "All items are fully videotaped upon shipment to ensure they're exactly as described/pictured". Scammers will not buy from you!!! Even if you don't video, put it in your listing. I had a buyer open a damaged item claim, and I let her know I have a video. She got so flustered that she couldn't prove her claim that she mailed it back outside of posh without approval.
Apr 12Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @stacy1607 yes her picture was stolen from a you tube video by daisy foxglove, I added that information to my case with posh and as soon as I did she deleted the photo!

ddmounts
ddmounts @stacy1607 Hmmh crazy I purchased from a lady that sold me fake pallet and poshmark sent me a label to return the product and give me money back. Does poshmark not verify with seller on product also?
Apr 12Reply
stacy1607
stacy1607 @ddmounts Posh has no idea if people are selling fakes unless it’s reported. They don’t monitor the listings. They seem to turn a blind eye to these replica sellers. When it comes to Louboutins, at least 1/2 listed are fake.
Apr 12Reply
ddmounts
ddmounts @stacy1607 oh I’m sure I just didn’t know if they monitored what buyer sent back to seller. So pretty much if you as a buyer get a return label as soon as it shows delivered the seller gets money back. If that’s correct then pretty much u can say u purchased a fake lv posh send you return label and bam shows delivered u have money and lv bag and sent back something that was fake amd wasn’t even what seller sent you.
Apr 12Reply

kalynns33
kalynns33 I’m always afraid of this. So if a buyer claims the item wasn’t right you lose your money and the item? Is that for real?
Apr 12Reply
sew_dolledup
sew_dolledup @kalynns33 What people are doing is purchasing the item say a pair of Louboutins, after receiving them they are filing a complaint to Poshmark stating the item you shipped is not what you listed. So Poshmark gives them a refund and they are SUPPOSED to ship back your item. Instead they are shipping back used damaged or completely different shoes that were never yours. Therefore keeping the Louboutins and the money they spent to get them.
Apr 12Reply
kalynns33
kalynns33 @sew_dolledup that’s insane! Makes me afraid to sell anything
Apr 12Reply
kalynns33
kalynns33 @stacy1607 i don’t even sell high dollar items but thinking of adding that line to some of my items. That’s a smart idea.
Apr 12Reply
stacy1607
stacy1607 @kalynns33 Hi! I put it on my lower priced items as well. No one should have to lose money to a scammer. Losing 5.00 is 5.00 too much to these scums. Put it in all listings, take a quick phone video, then delete once accepted. Scammers and people who frequently have buyers remorse and inflict damage for a return won’t bother you... 😁

shootersaleen @katiekhaos lol I found a phone number online for that address and called, she doesn't even live there it's her dad's house and he confirmed the package that came to a different name and said she stopped by to pick it up (he confirmed her real name is Angela Aragon). She set up her poshmark account with a false name, different address and stolen picture so clearly it was only an account to scam with.

Thanks for sharing info, I will definitely be taking videos of any items I don't want to lose money on from here forward. Dang fraudsters suck!!!!
Apr 17Reply
kalynns33
kalynns33 Has anyone ever been scammed as a buyer? Where the item you ordered really wasn’t what was advertised? I’m thinking of videoing me opening the package if i buy something expensive to prove it in case. Does anyone else do that? Technically someone could advertise an expensive item and ship you an empty box? Now I’m all kinds of afraid
Apr 17Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @kalynns33 it's much harder to be scammed as a buyer. Sure there are dishonest sellers out there, but as a buyer you just open a not as described claim and poshmark or any other selling site sides with the buyer most of the time, unless the seller has specific evidence to prove their side.
Apr 17Reply
stacy1607
stacy1607 @kalynns33 It is harder to be scammed as a buyer, but it could happen. As a seller, I have video'd my opening of a return. As some are saying, they open a case for some BS reason, get approval, then mail back junk or a box of rocks. I take no chances. I haven't had many returns, but I video my walk to the mail box and the opening of the package. Selling on Posh is just not safe!!!

queenkandi @kalynns33 I have been scammed as a buyer, when purchasing human hair wigs, but thankfully I do takes pictures of every step, and send in a ton of proof, because no one wants to be scammed,,, I do read the description, the buyer was unaware, so it was an easy case, I felt bad because she didn't know, but on my page be careful of a girl who sells hair offline, ugh bad mistake on my part... lesson learned

kalynns33
kalynns33 I just sold a new shirt with tags still attached to someone. They didn’t offer buy just bought it at the price i listed it at. Their profile was only made 5 days before buying my shirt. USPS showed it was delivered to them but yet they claimed they didn’t get it 🤔. Posh made me wait for my money then settled it by paying me and refunding the buyer. Could it be lost? Maybe. But sounds to me like she now has my shirt and got it for free. That happen to anyone else?
Apr 21Reply
love_emarie
love_emarie There’s a lot of girls doing this and Poshmark does LITTLE to protect the seller. I had someone someone complain about a loose hook on a skirt that I didn’t even see and could’ve been fixed with two small hand stitches. Beautiful skirt and I never received the return back and @Poshmark thinks it’s okay as long as they pay you. IT’S NOT! I’d rather have my stuff back than have someone basically scam and steal. So sorry this happened to you.
Apr 24Reply
kalynns33
kalynns33 @love_emarie it’s definitely frustrating! It’s basically stealing and if stealing is not ok in the real world not sure why it flies here. Maybe posh should start making sellers ship to posh and then posh ships to the buyer after they check the item out so the buyer can’t lie. Brand new profile claiming lost package when USPS says delivered should be a red flag.
Apr 25Reply
kalynns33
kalynns33 @gmabarb what kind of info did you give them? You can report them to posh and don’t give out any personal info in the future. Some people will try to get you to do transactions off posh for a better price. Ignore and report them...it’s a scam usually
May 11Reply
sangelz
sangelz What about buying insurance for the items sold? Would that help as well?
May 12Reply

shootersaleen @sangelz no insurance only covers that the package was delivered undamaged, they would have no idea of what was inside or anything

newbondgirl
newbondgirl @kalynns33 Hi. I’m about to find out if I was scammed as a buyer. I haven’t opened the package yet, but plan to record me opening the package bc there’s supposed to be 2 pairs of Louboutins inside. Anyhow, after my offer was accepted, someone from Posh notified me that they were fakes. I want to record myself opening it. That way, if they are fake, I have proof and seller can’t say I switched them out or something...this is so crazy.
May 22Reply
kalynns33
kalynns33 @newbondgirl good luck! I hope they are real! If not i think you can report it to posh and get your money back?
May 22Reply

blingingcowgirl I'm curious, if someone opens a return but then never sends the item, do they still get their refund AND the item?? I certainly hope not because if that's the case I can see why there's so many scammers out there. it's something I'm dealing with right now :(
Sep 09Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @blingingcowgirl they have to send their item and it been confirmed delivered before they received a refund. honestly poshmark is much better than other sites in this matter. some sites force you to pay shipping both ways and accept a refund, minus any fees, even if your item is as described. I had a buyer on another site, even admitted they didn't read the listing, item was as described but I still was forced to accept refund, pay selling fees and shipping both ways
Sep 09Reply
blingingcowgirl
blingingcowgirl @shootersaleen I'm just confused because the buyer said that my item was damaged when I had proof that it wasn't but didn't want confrontation so I just approved the return but she hasn't returned it or even shipped it so I'm not sure what's happening.
Sep 09Reply
blingingcowgirl
blingingcowgirl @shootersaleen I got an email from Poshmark yesterday saying that they have no tracking activity for the return and if the buyer doesn't ship soon I'll get my money back but I don't know what the window is.
Sep 09Reply
shootersaleen
shootersaleen @blingingcowgirl they have a few days, but if they return it just make sure to record you opening the return package, just in case they try to return something else, which is a common scam. recording will help protect you.
