@allyslosh it was definitely sold as a winter coat, but it is poly puffer-filled, not feather or down. It says water resistant. But it is a canvas outer. If waterproofing is a concern I would recommend a spray meant for fabric, I use on longchamp and other cloth bags as well as shoes 😁
