middlebrooke @sharpnote YES! An amazing experience, Betty was my favorite! She would come to our window every morning at 6:15 begging for pellets! Did you get over to the Mara North Conservancy? We spent 5 nights there then on to Tanzania for the great migration! I need to go back! Can’t wait! Look at my closet you will recognize my photos! Lol

middlebrooke @sharpnote Mara was my favorite! Until we ran across 3 young male lions that had taken down a young hippo 😢. We couldn’t watch. It was brutal. I’m not as tough as I thought I was!

middlebrooke @sharpnote I know! We just couldn’t watch. We came back later after they had killed the poor thing. The entire pride showed up! 16 full grown lions! The two kings went after a couple hyenas that had gotten too close. Talk about brutal! They dispatched them in a blink! There is an all out war between this pride and the local hyena crew, you probably heard about it. These hyenas killed some cubs, and the big boys didn’t like it!
