Most wont want these skin tight so that would be what I would also consider along with the information I have provided above that the medium has a flat lay waist measurement of approximately 15". bethybd @alstatham317 The flat lay measurement for the waist of the 2XL I have here in Black is approximately 18", and they stretch comfortably to about 21". I believe that equates to about a 1XL ladies, and may be preferred by some XL too. The best way to decide on size for boutique items is really to measure your favorite similar item that currently fits, and select size based on the measurememts. bethybd @dchillas Hi, the last two pictures on the listing above are of the actual shorts you will be purchasing. The waist is gray material and is a band type look as shown. The body of the shorts is considered black sequins/beads. These go well with silver, but they are not colored silver. The waist for the 2XL is 18" approximately laying flat and stretches to about 21". contd⬇️

bethybd @dchillas If you are unsure of your sizing, I find that the best way to determine size when shopping online is to measure your favorite comparable item of clothing and compare to the measurements given for the product.
