New accounts keep being made to "sell" this Burberry cashmere scarf. Not sure what the point is because I'm sure poshmark always holds the funds until delivery and would just end up refunding the buyer. But just wanted to share this for new poshers who are new to the community so that they don't freak out if they have made the purchase.
Also, it's annoying to see listings tagged under irrelevant brands for exposure. Hope poshmark does something about these sellers.
Feel free to share.

Glad you posted this, there are so many sellers that obviously sell fakes claiming that they are authentic also and some people don’t know any better and assume the seller is telling the truth when they state that the item is real. So frustrating 😡

So annoying. They stopped for a few weeks but are back at it today. People really need to do their research and remember that if it looks to good to be true, it probably is. Thanks for posting. Will continue to report this POS.

@nerin17 I agree! And I don't even understand why, because poshmark holds onto the funds until the buyer accepts the package. Maybe it's collect shipping addresses? 🤷♀️

@jenmor74 no probs! I just saw it come back so I was like....yeah it's time to make a post haha

@briannarose13 I think that these sellers typically get taken off in about a day or two, but before that, I think there are a handful of buyers who have bought it already

I got scammed by a seller with a fake Tory Burch. She posted it as Tory Burch and I got it today and it’s not. I filed a claim. No fun though. Thanks for this post 🙏🏻

Arigatou gozaimasu for posting! I look out for scam(mer)s, too. Love when Posh sends out posts for us to review questionable listings. Since S&H fees hav been raised (again) maybe security wil be tighter...?

I was going to buy gucci belt😩 from this guy but I noticed he was new to posh and only had the belt for sale so i didn’t.
Quick question if you buy it and it arrives and it’s fake, don’t you have to accept before they get paid

Of Course I wouldn't do that to anyone. My Point is Why, People get away with doing things like this and DONT Get In trouble.

I’ve been reporting scammers selling replicas in the Tory Burch anytime I see them. And calling them out, only to be blocked so I can’t post on their ads anymore. I’ve notified Poshmark too, of my frustration with fake and unrelated items being posted under various designers, but they don’t seem to do anything about this problem. Apart from it being illegal, counterfeit goods are often created through child labor. We should all do our part to stop this business. Thanks for spreading the word!

@femalecop hi precious u may not realize this listing is misbranded. i was searching for a tory & sooo so frustrating when tons tons of these info messages show up. im COMPLETLEY appreciative of u for spreading the word & informing everyone.but u must chg the brand immediately as i wouldnt want u to get cited/banned/deleted esp when you're here to help protect us. they try but wish posh & M & all platforms would do more. hope this help sharing is CARING wishing speedy sales😁💕

You also have to be careful on Facebook marketplace. I've found people who will pretend to sell you an item, but not actually mail it. The item I bought (or thought I bought) wasn't a fake either....a small Herrington beanbag bear for the KY State Police. Not an item you'd think would be a scam listing.

They need to stop saying that they're adding a brand name for exposure. It needs to be more regulated as it confuses some people.
Feb 25Reply

They are so annoying. Tons are popping for designer handbag too for around $300! Those are scams! Don’t buy from them! You’ll never receive your item but they have your address and name.
