katieloveshoes @jennybauerly Hi! I have to be honest, I am not sure if this would be considered a small or extra small. When looking at other sites that sell Chanel, they characterize a French size 38 as a US size 6. However, some people suggest that Chanel runs small. I cannot speak to that b/c this is my mother’s blazer. I included some approximate measurements in the pics. Do you have a blazer at home that you can compare it to? Let me know if you need more measurements! 😊

katieloveshoes @jennybauerly This doesn’t fit her anymore, so I feel so bad that I can’t answer that question. I wonder if I can call Chanel and ask for their advice. Or see if I can find their sizing chart. My recommendation would be to buy bigger and have it tailored. Also, do you have a blazer at home? If you want, I can take measurements of the bust and the waist laying flat to see how it compares to your current blazer that fits? I will get back to you later today once I can compile all this info.

katieloveshoes @jennybauerly Answering sizing questions is such a gamble and I am very careful with this and because it’s so hard to compare French sizing to US sizing. I will do my best to gather as much information as I can for you, but all the sizing guides are always so approximate.

katieloveshoes @jennybauerly Hi! Just called Chanel. The women on the phone said a 38 is a medium-ish, which I can’t believe. I am more of a small & I just tried it on & I can button it, but it’s tight when buttoned. Unbuttoned it looks fine on me (but you should have the option to wear it both ways). She suggested going to a Chanel retail store to get an understanding of sizing. They do not have sizing charts online because they don’t like converting to other sizes. Do you live in a big city by any chance?

katieloveshoes @jennybauerly My cousin is moving back to Minneapolis this summer! I have a lot of family from the Midwest. 😊. Let me know if you can think of any other way I can be helpful! Chanel sizing is so particular. I wish I was allowed to offer you a return, but sadly I can’t on poshmark. Also- the associate I spoke with on the phone said calling the Chanel boutiques is also helpful - they are much better with sizing than the general Chanel phone number online.

katieloveshoes @jennybauerly FYI- I just spoke w/ my mother about her sizing. She always wore a 38 in Chanel & a 6 in US sizing (for the most part - all brands vary). She was also almost always a small. All brands run so differently, so as we were speaking about it, we felt that it would be in your best interest to go to a Chanel store (or dept store that sells Chanel) & try on a few sizes/styles to understand your Chanel sizing. Sorry I’m not able to weigh in more on sizing! Thanks again! 😊
