stephys_kloset This is great! I’m forever looking through LV listings and trying to warn people. I don’t want anyone spending their hard earned money on a WAY TOO expensive replica being passed off as authentic.

classjessica7 Another things is if they have a bunch of new designer purses they might have been stolen. And that's just not okay.

mee_oww @classjessica7 No matter how you slice it, the only way one can have acquired so many of the same bag or so many high retail items being offered for a third, most likely isn't really a miracle from the purse fairy..lol Most likely the way they were acquired wasn't a "good" or "legal" thing. Speaking only for myself, not something I want to be part of or contribute to. Especially because if it is being touted as "authentic" then fraud can be added to that list of "things"

classjessica7 @dvoebel I agree completely! It isn't something I want to support.

dreama_anderson @dvoebel ❤️this ⚠️ post....will share, share, share! Also, it seems these scammers only have a one or a few listings...then, 5hey delete account and come back under a new name😑

mee_oww @dreama_anderson My pleasure. You are correct. So blocking them as they pop up is too labor intensive and useless. Knowing the facts and what to watch out for is the best defense. It won't matter if they change their name, or brands they try to copy. The red flags will always be consistent. Happy and safe Poshing ☺

skp19 @dvoebel thank you for being helpful, but please continue to remind people this is just a case by case thing. I am a reseller so I have 20-25 Louis Vuitton bags at any given time. I also use stock photos, and have used my bedroom, sunroom, living room, dining room and office to take pictures, so my pics show up in 5 different rooms. By this post, it really flags some accounts that are legit.

skp19 @dvoebel and you are absolutely right. There's been so many scammers lately and it makes it so hard for legit sellers because buyers question our closets but fall for the scammers 😫 so awful. Anyone on a post that asks you to text or message first is a scam! That bothers me the most!

mee_oww @skp19 Thank you for your input. I too will often use a stock pic or take photos in different areas. What I am trying to say is not just one "flag" but a series of "flags". Things to be mindful of so to speak. For instance, only a stock photo. It stinks to have to "watch" for anything but unfortunately there are so many scammers.

cptl62 Thanks so much!! Great info! Also want to add a few more suggestions; 1. Look to make sure that the background in the photos are consistent. For example, if they have three LV bags that they are selling, and all the photos have different backgrounds or the hands in the photos are different, this could be a sign of stolen photos. 2. Look at the sellers closet! If they have new high end bags and the rest of their items are of lesser value, chances are it is a scam.

cptl62 One more thing!! Never take a transaction off of Posh! If the seller wants you to text them to get more info, it is a scam!! Always, reach out to other Poshers whom have sold many items of the brand you are interested in buying. We are more then happy to help and point you in the right direction😉
