Vintage Carnelian Bead Necklace with Fetishes

This lovely necklace is from the estate of a dear lady who loved to make (and sell) jewelry. This is a necklace she chose to keep. Her notes say she the bought the beads at Gumbo’s in Houston in ‘78. The necklace has 56 - 12mm carnelian beads with 10 animal fetishes spaced throughout the necklace. I'm guessing that the fetishes are also carnelian in a slightly lighter color. 34” long. Hand knotted between beads except where there are gold filled beads on each side of the animals. fumc-GBR
