This is an absolutely gorgeous vintage 1940s style dress that may very well be handmade or at least hand altered. There are no tags and you can clearly see hand stitching on the hem. My guess is that it is perhaps a 40s style dress made in the 70s... No shoulder pads. I've included quite a few pictures to give you a better idea about the construction of the dress. As you can see the top part unbuttons but is attached to the dress as a whole.

Fabric feels like some type of polyester/synthetic. There are pleats in the skirt and a tie in the back. No visible flaws that I've found.
