These did not (I’ve sold several) come with a shoulder strap - if you are talking about the side buckle, it is more of a decorative aspect of the bag. khesney @mymayflowers Hi, I just went to look at the bag again. I'd sayit is canvas like, but has a smoother feel to it - seems to have a water resistant quality to it. I could not find a materials tag, but my guess would be cotton/polyester blend. Also the for the bags with the animal print - the animal print sort of has a "fuzzy" feel. Hope this helps.
