Plz don’t do biz w/ this scammer. Update 11/3: New DA came in office & he dismissed it. Too small of potatoes I guess 🤷‍♀️ I’ve a yr or so to file in Civil court but haven’t put any time/effort into it. She seems to have a pretty crappy life so I figure she’s living in her own karma. I tried & hopefully it caused her at least one night’s unrest so she had time to reflect on what type of person she is. Old Update: Non-jury Trial on 5-13-21 Zoom & I’m victim/witness. I was asked if I would take payment & allow to dismiss case/court. I declined as she’s still on here & will continue to scam when she can. I’ve seen nothing in her actions to show me she’s regretful/learned a lesson & would stop. Her hometown police pressed charges after tracking her down/listening to her lies of not having my addy/any way to contact me. They saw thru that:She blocked me here/FB.

Ex: If you were looking for me you could search Prada purses/shoes my size and find me after looking thru a few items. Or by her city if it’s not a major one? It can be hard if they ghost & start a whole new posh profile.

She probably thinks I let it go & she's in for a rude awakening after tomorrow morning. I’m also going to add on expenses and lawyer fees as I’ll actually go & appear in person in court to nail it down harder the longer it takes her to pay me. I’ll then send court papers to Posh to fully close down her account if she takes it that far.

missstephlee After the criminal proceedings I’ll be filing a civil suit as well until I’m made whole. This has caused me to lose many hours over multiple days and dealing with multiple police departments in my city and her city. All expenses and lawyer fees will be added. The longer she waits, the worse this gets and the more she’ll owe me.

missstephlee @dotnicholson My hubs & I already decided I’ll fly out if/when needed. I gave her dozens of chances to right this somehow in multiple ways. She dug herself into a hole she can’t get out of and has 3 past theft charges on her record and I know how to present info correctly in the way courts prefer since my hubs is a lawyer. She’s in slow moving legal quicksand & gets worse the more she fights it.

The police talked to her and still charged with the evidence I had. We’re awaiting the hearing for this current one. She also had 3 other theft convictions.

I had a bad trade experience where we agreed she’d get my set for her TB tblock and she never sent me the TB after she got my set and sold it for $80 she then said she wasn’t sending me a TB at all. She sold a $400 set for $80 it’s not my fault she sold it for that it was worth way more. After over 30 days she finally sent me a used MK used leggings and a used Wristlet Vera Wang far from what I was suppose to get.

If you’d like to know I’ll tell you who it is but after I went through all this this person and two friends of hers has bullied me now for over a year it’s stopped for now but I expect it to start again. Her hometown police dep’t has charged her with a felony regarding my stolen items. Trades for cheaper stuff is prob fine but beware if any high-end designer items. She has a prior criminal record of theft as well.

She gets some real stuff she trades crap for but a lot of the accessories she buys from China repeatedly (look how many cheap “new” Gucci headbands/hats she sells 🧐. missstephlee @kellyjos I got criminal charges filed against her by her DA’s office, so judgements just convictions. DA said they’ll offer her a plea deal to pay me or she gets what the judge gives her & this will be her 2nd robbery conviction so could be back to jail....I have high hopes that this will stick. Next I open the civil case & get my judgement & I have a bit of experience being a creditor from hell...it’s sport for me now ;)

I reported fake Yeti product to Posh after the seller kept saying they were authentic and it was obviously not. They even kept telling posh in my complaint they were authentic!! I got refund but they are still selling them saying they are authentic. They use Yeti web site photos but thats not what they ship!! Why won’t posh shut them down??

3dsmom I am hoping she will get removed from Poshmark. I had a similar experience but she shipped some junk out after police in her town visited her. People need to know it’s considered mail fraud and is a federal offense. Posh needs to back us as far as removing the scammers. Good luck.

I defiantly learned and understand the lengths people go to to lie for their own benefit now and ask questions. missstephlee @irishblond94 Yeah, a trade which is why posh won’t touch it (although they technically allow trades, it’s at your own risk). She’s a really rotten apple tho & shady. It takes balls to send what she did. I’ve met several poshers I would trade with if I found something I wanted. Be very cautious but don’t totally write off trading. Film anything of higher value you mail too.

This totally upsets me - why do people do these things? I found her Posh site, and it now says that she is from "Los Angeles" - people think that they are all anonymous, so some steal, but it is so super easy to find anyone now. fyestylejunky I was scammed as well. Buyer said my coach purse was fake, which it was not. She bought three items in a bundle, and filed a claim for a full refund. Which I promptly agree to because I don’t want anyone unhappy with my items. She returned nothing. It was an empty package of paper. Posh refunded her money. So she had my items and my money. Posh refunded my money but that wasn’t good enough for me. WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE SO THESE THINGS.

Then I contacted her states PD & submitted my PDs statement with a complaint & they went to her house. After that they filed Criminal charges against her & I’m just a victim/witness in the MA (her state) criminal case now.

The orders were canceled after I shipped the items this morning but I was able to retrieve my packages from USPS before the packages left their facility.

However, our Posh Protect policy does not cover trades within the system and the buyer must pay the standard shipping fee for such trades.”

missstephlee @samantharemy You have to do both. Your local PD takes your statement & certifies you are who you say you are. Then you contact her local PD to advise them you want to submit your statement as the victim of a crime.

They’re prob all pretty similar but felony/misdemeanor amounts vary state to state. MA was $250 for mine.

In comments you wrote side Stone's natural diamond's even I can spot as CZ's set in a 925 non C&C setting that is an exact match to several ring's one person has made and sold multiple of on other platforms! You even listed the same exact one for sale now but without a C&C cert. & warranty card with a serial number...

missstephlee @adriane_p that’s not true. I buy from a gem appraiser that other Poshers on here know personally. He uses the same mass produced setting for a lot of his rings that are preset with the real lab created diamonds. He bought some C&C from an estate sale (he appeases a lot of those as a living). He also set some with regular stones. I bought multiple when I was researching what ring I wanted to replace my old ring & the C&C was going to be mine personally but I changed my mind & selling both.

I set my prices low my items are all unused . Sold her 80$ jeans for 12$ . She sent me a message that I scammed her and she hit dirty pants . She was reporting me . I myself was scammed by a “new posher” who insisted she didn’t receive a rather large shipment, in which I had included a very high end pair of new costume earrings as a gift... she even admitted that the address I shipped to was an “ old address.”...

terrythemom I had to squabble with Posh after they redacted my payment but since I had mailed to the address they gave me and had US PS confirmation of delivery at that address, and video proof of all contents as ordered in good condition I did eventually receive my money from posh – – not from the spammer I’m sure she eventually got to pick up her package as it was never returned — mighty suspicious— she also blocked me!!!

missstephlee @terrythemom Ugh, sucks you had to prove yourself 30 ways over but glad you didn’t end up eating the $ too. I video Outgoing as well now, any incoming worth more than a couple bucks & any returns. Totally sucks but I just try to remind myself that the majority of Poshers are just normal nice people.

missstephlee ❗️Update❗️ Her trial (judge only/non-jury) is Tues, Nov 24, 2020 (next week) and I’m a witness (victim witness). I was going to fly there but they’re allowing me to zoom in (my hubs does almost all his court appearances on zoom for a few years now). I was asked if I’d take payment & allow dismissal & I refused bcz that does nothing to keep Posh safer if she’s just allowed to stay & continue scamming.

I tracked her down with a general public background check & that’s how I found out she had a conviction for theft already so this is more a lifestyle. The cops went to her house & talked with her & left seeing her for the liar she is. She admitted she owed me & didn’t deny it. She doesn’t have a set scam but just puts in fakes & crap trash like that purse above & then you’re stuck.

missstephlee @bknbnm So she’s lived the past 1.5+ years with multiple court dates, etc. Last Tuesday’s was postponed last minute 2 hours before our scheduled appearance. It’s an added worry for her in her life, especially since it’s a Felony in her state. Good luck & Be beyond careful or not at all! 🍀

I told them no, I wanted her held accountable on record or forced to close posh account or admit in writing to no more scams. I gave her so many times to pay it & make right. missstephlee @sharonblood if you ever find a way to report scammers. Areshna7 is selling “ lab created diamonds” that aren’t diamonds/lab created diamonds. They’re cheap crystals w/ diamond dust adhered to outside so it tests as diamond. Weigh it & the carats would be off tho 😒. Never going to find a 5ct diamond -lab created even- for $100, it would be $15,000! And they word stuff listings which is just more shady liar/cheater type. No way to tell those details when hitting the report button tho 🤷‍♀️

She’ll have fines and community service plus pay me FULL PRICE or go to jail if she can’t/doesn’t pay. missstephlee Criminal case dismissed by new ADA today, which I knew was highly probable since I declined payment. Next step of Civil court which is where these always land, but court records paper trail are there for any future cases/fruds/thefts which is what I wanted. Civil court will take a long while too.

It’s just a legal bribe to get me to walk away & that’s not how I make decisions in life 😉🙃 Even if I had needed/wanted the money, I would’ve had to take her back to court to collect as she wasn’t going to pay me willingly so I didn’t miss out. I’m okay with how far I got. :)

I can spot the fakes and what I’ve done that has helped stop quite a few is go through the closet and report 10. And I like some so I can see if they discount and then I go again. I report sales too as that is A SALE that’s fraudulent. Posh also sends me items reported as misrepresentation and then they go after them

designingdeb @missstephlee people in the jewelry business are hurt by scammers. I realize this is about trades but there are many ways good people are damaged. Since Posh was bought out many changes are just pushing our net income down. I’m a tax accountant too, I work the numbers and a discount from beginning at 20% with PM costs is getting close to 50%. Constant ‘drop prices for sales’ is stupid from go. Checked people I saw listed—no items for sale.

designingdeb @missstephlee I agree. Your favorite place-China-will sell those items for $2.50-$5. I see those items listed constantly selling for $100’s of dollars. You’re running a great business and providing great education. I’m a research queen and bff is a diamond broker. The diamond business is going through huge changes. Moissanite is now a go to stone. Please forward offenders. I enjoy scammers. I did locate and 5 were arrested by secret service, arrested and serving time in federal prison.

missstephlee @designingdeb I don’t do mass offers on my jewelry for that reason. I would have to mark it up so high to start which in my opinion chases off potential jewelry buyers from first glance so I try to keep it fairly low at my set price. There’s one seller on here that lists “lab created diamonds” but it’s a crystal with diamond dust plated on it. 5ct lab created diamond for $105 & such🤦‍♀️ I used to have an educational warning up but PM made me take it down for harassment so I gave up for a bit.

You have some items that would work well and you’ve kept prices great. I’m glad I found you and hope we can do some business! I have a sizable collection of gemstones that I wanted to set. designingdeb @missstephlee I just followed up with what I indicated I do in general. When any closet operates in significant violation or engages in gouging consumers that is against Poshmark guidelines. I was blocked when I requested proof of Swarovski items such as blue boxes etc in comments on several items. Swarovski is very protective of their brand. It’s part of proof of authenticity. It was followed up with Poshmark. Also no hallmark for metal.

designingdeb @missstephlee As I said I use Swarovski a lot in custom items I make and, since I buy the crystals and peals and create the designs, they will not have those items. So for awhile it was an issue. Daniel Swarovski was very protective of his recipe and until his death only he knew one specific ingredient, as you well understand. Now that they make jewelry they seem to be expanding the reach.
