campfire_girl So glad you shared this! I've been trying to get into second hand shopping more, for the environmental benefits, and poshmark has been a great resource. I'm wondering what your thoughts are on the environmental impact of shipping individual items? Most of the time I don't buy in a bundle nor do my customers. I feel bad every time I see multiple packages with just one item in each. Thanks! 🍃

emmaemoulder @hellaastella Hi!! Me too! I try to ship in cardboard boxes, so they can be recycled, and when I buy I always recycle my packaging! But some biodegradable packaging options from USPS is something I think we should be working towards!

campfire_girl @emmaemoulder those are all good thoughts. I was thinking more in terms of the carbon footprint of actually shipping them, the omissions around sending out individual items. I wonder if Poshmark will ever make a carbon offset program where you can have your carbon footprint calculated and they can offset them, or Poshers can pay to offset them 🤔

campfire_girl @emmaemoulder i'm trying to reuse the plastic padded envelopes as much as possible, because you can just take the shipping label off and replace it with yours. Same thing with cardboard. Reuse before recycle! Also most grocery stores allow you to recycle the plastic packaging envelopes in the bins where they accept plastic grocery bags! ♻️
