@aurora33180 My father has miraculously been beating the odds since being diagnosed with PSP PROGRESSIVE SUPRANUCLEAR PALSY. This October will be two years since entering an adult care facility in ESCAZU, called Verdeza. It's Costa Rica's best. 2 people are with him everywhere he goes. He signals he's happy, and when he can understand my ?, he tells me he's not in any pain. It's a month to month issue slowly becoming a week to week issue.

@aurora33180 My mom has survived a few medical emergencies, low O2 and arterial blood gas levels. Could of died in her sleep with lack of intervention. This was followed by another in COSTA RICA. Then an emergency bowel obstruction admission then off to urgent surgery to prevent a tear and possible sepsis, knowing she was not an anesthesia candidate, but they had to risk it to avoid her bowel perforating. It was a 50/50 chance surgery.

@beemer550 I can only imagine how stressful it must be for you....I've kept you and your parents in my prayers and hope they are able to avoid any serious emergencies going forward. Sounds like the place you chose in C.R. is a wonderful choice for your Dad. @aurora33180 Yes stressful like I've never felt. It's like on a different frequency...depressing, lonely, and macabre. Oh yeah my Dad wouldn't be among us without this place. Can you imagine 10k a month exactly, and that's in C. R.

@aurora33180 Oh how did I forget, Alexis is now finishing her 2 year contract at her first job doing on site coverage and anchoring news for an ABC affiliate in Gainesville. She works like mad, but love it and it seems to love her. I gotta send you some short highlight reels. My sacrifice, my gift, the love of my life. I couldn't selfishly ask for more, but that gets lost in my happiness for her. A young woman at 24, it's amazing. Thanks so much for asking about her. I'm recharged. LOL.
